Quality Standards for Container Houses
The quality standards for container houses cover multiple aspects including technical regulations, construction quality acceptance, architectural design, material selection, construction techniques, and sustainability.

Technical Regulation Standards: The core references include standards such as CECS334:2013, JGJ/T 469-2019, and GB/T51329-2018, applicable to low-rise and multi-story modular combined houses (with a maximum of 6 stories, height ≤ 24m, and seismic fortification intensity ≤ 8 degrees). The design service life is categorized into 50 years (with a structural safety factor ≥ 1.0) or 25 years (≥ 0.95). Existing containers must be inspection-qualified according to GB/T12418, requiring intact beams and columns, complete and reliable corner fittings (8 in total), and accompanied by quality certification documents.
Construction Quality Acceptance Standards:
- Scope of Application: Covers quality inspection and acceptance of factory-produced container houses in industrial and civil buildings.
- Acceptance Content: Includes three parts: material quality, factory products, and on-site engineering.
- Basic Provisions: Acceptance must refer to BIM models; production enterprises must be equipped with qualified testing equipment and establish a quality traceability system; key production processes must be supervised on-site by construction or supervision units; qualified components must be marked, and the quality of inspection lots must meet 100% pass rate for main control items, a pass rate of ≥ 80% for general items, with no serious defects, and complete records of quality inspections and construction operations must be maintained.
Architectural Design Standards: Must comply with national building codes and industry technical specifications (such as the "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structures"). Design must comprehensively consider the usage location, purpose, population, and lifespan to ensure safety, comfort, and environmental protection.
Material Selection Standards:
- Steel: Select Q235B or Q345B standards, with surfaces requiring painting, plastic spraying, or hot-dip galvanizing to enhance corrosion resistance.
- Thermal Insulation Materials: Use rock wool, glass wool, and other materials that meet national standards to improve thermal insulation performance.
Construction Technique Standards: Must adhere to regulations such as the "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Engineering," with a focus on reinforcing container connections, addressing interface leakage, and grounding issues. Construction personnel must be certified and strictly follow drawings to ensure structural stability.
Sustainability Standards: Based on specifications such as the "Building Energy Efficiency Design Standards," priority should be given to using energy-saving materials (such as LED lights, solar water heaters) and rainwater collection systems to reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution.
