Quality Requirements for Prefabricated Panel Houses
The quality requirements for prefabricated panel houses cover multiple aspects such as production, construction, performance, structure, use and maintenance, as well as acceptance and delivery, and must strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations and standards.

I. Responsibilities of Producers and Construction Units Producers must ensure that prefabricated panels comply with national or industry standards that safeguard human health, personal safety, and property safety, and possess the necessary performance for use, in accordance with the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China. Construction units must strictly follow design drawings and construction technical standards as required by the Regulations on the Administration of Construction Project Quality, refrain from cutting corners, and assume responsibility for repairing any quality issues that arise during construction.
II. Performance Requirements for Prefabricated Panels
- Load-Bearing Capacity: Prefabricated panels must be selected according to the design requirements for the corresponding live load levels (such as Class I or Class II panels) to ensure they meet the load-bearing needs of the building under normal use conditions.
- Manufacturing Process: Factory processing must comply with standards to avoid deficiencies in panel strength or internal structural flaws due to process defects, which could affect overall sturdiness.
III. Structural Integrity of the House
- Connection Methods: The connections between prefabricated panels and between panels and walls must be secure, utilizing reliable connection techniques (such as steel bar anchoring, concrete pouring, etc.) to prevent structural instability caused by loose connections.
- Comparison with Cast-in-Place Structures: The structural integrity of prefabricated panel houses is generally weaker than that of cast-in-place structures, necessitating design optimization (such as adding structural columns and ring beams) or strengthening connection nodes to enhance seismic performance.
IV. Use and Maintenance Requirements
- Use Environment: In earthquake-prone areas or regions with complex geological conditions, prefabricated panel houses must undergo seismic reinforcement design and regular structural safety assessments.
- Maintenance and Upkeep: Regularly inspect for issues such as cracks or detachment in prefabricated panels and repair them promptly; avoid randomly drilling holes in the floor or overloading it to prevent damage to structural safety and waterproofing performance; strengthen waterproofing measures (such as roof and bathroom waterproofing treatments) to extend the service life of the house.
V. Acceptance and Delivery Standards
- Acceptance Criteria: In accordance with the Construction Law of the People's Republic of China, prefabricated panel houses undergoing completion acceptance must meet engineering quality standards and possess complete engineering technical and economic data and an engineering warranty.
- Prohibition on Delivery: Houses that have not undergone acceptance or have failed acceptance must not be delivered for use; otherwise, the construction unit will face legal responsibilities such as being ordered to make corrections, fines, and compensation for losses.
