Qionglai Intelligent Mobile Toilet

Admin October 10, 2026

The Qionglai Intelligent Mobile Toilet is a smart public restroom that utilizes 5G carbon neutrality technology, featuring technological, convenient, and environmentally friendly characteristics. Seven units have been launched and are now in use.

I. Technological Design Enhances User Experience

The smart public restrooms in Qionglai adopt a minimalist and stylish exterior design, featuring a blue-brown color scheme paired with streamlined structures that align with modern aesthetics and harmonize with the urban environment. The interior facilities are highly intelligent:

  • Smart Guidance Screens: These screens display real-time restroom occupancy status, preventing users from waiting in line. They also feature body temperature detection and infrared sterilization and epidemic prevention functions, providing dual protection for public health and safety.
  • Sensor-Operated Glass Doors: These doors open and close automatically via sensors, reducing the risk of contact transmission and enhancing hygiene levels.
  • Automatic Sensor-Operated Hand Sanitizer Dispensers and 24-Hour Sterilization and Deodorization Machines: These enable contactless operation throughout the process, ensuring fresh air and reducing odors and bacterial growth.

II. Convenience Service Stations Meet Diverse Needs

The public restrooms are equipped with convenience service stations that integrate various practical functions:

  • Health Monitoring Equipment: These include weight (height) scales and blood pressure monitors, allowing citizens to conveniently check their health status at any time.
  • Life Service Facilities: These include self-service printers, beverage vending machines, shared power banks, and shared umbrellas, addressing urgent needs for printing, charging, shopping, and rain protection, thereby enhancing the convenience of public services.

III. Environmental Protection Technology Achieves Sustainable Development

The public restrooms utilize microbial degradation technology to treat waste, converting it into organic fertilizer through microbial decomposition, achieving zero sewage discharge. This avoids the water consumption and pollution associated with traditional flush toilets. Additionally, this technology saves over 4 tons of water per day, significantly reducing water waste and aligning with carbon neutrality goals.

IV. 5G Technology Supports Smart Management

As a 5G carbon-neutral smart public restroom, its operation relies on 5G networks for real-time data transmission and device interconnection. For example, restroom occupancy information on smart guidance screens and the operational status of sterilization equipment can be remotely monitored via 5G networks, facilitating timely maintenance by management personnel and improving operational efficiency.

The intelligent mobile toilets in Qionglai, through the integration of technology, convenience, and environmental protection, not only enhance urban public service levels but also provide a replicable model for smart city construction.
