Qinhuangdao Public Mobile Toilet

Admin September 24, 2026

Qinhuangdao public mobile toilets feature diverse technological types, specification designs suitable for different scenarios, scientific operation and management models, and clear future development directions.

I. Product Types and Technological Features
Qinhuangdao public mobile toilets have developed four core technological types tailored to coastal environments. The seawater flushing type filters seawater to replace freshwater for flushing, saving approximately 150 liters of freshwater per toilet per day and effectively alleviating freshwater supply pressure in coastal areas. The zero-discharge ecological type employs dry-wet separation and aerobic composting technologies to convert solid waste into odorless humus, while the liquid is disinfected with ultraviolet light for use in landscaping, achieving zero pollution discharge. The beach-specific type is designed with a wide chassis and low-pressure tires for soft terrain, reducing the risk of sinking, and its outer shell is coated with a salt-fog-resistant layer that can withstand sea breeze erosion for over 10 years. In terms of technological adaptability, the toilet ventilation system is equipped with a dehumidification module, the drainage pipes are designed with a steep slope (gradient ≥ 5%), key components are treated with three-proof paint, and they pass seawater corrosion simulation laboratory tests to ensure equipment stability in high-salt and high-humidity environments.

II. Specification Types and Suitable Scenarios
According to usage needs, Qinhuangdao mobile toilets are divided into four specification types. The single-unit type measures 1.2-1.5 meters in length, 1.0-1.2 meters in width, and 2.2-2.5 meters in height, equipped with squat/seat toilets and washbasins, suitable for beaches and temporary event venues. The multi-pit combination type reduces construction costs by sharing a septic tank and is commonly found in parks, squares, and large event sites. The trailer-mounted large type can be over 6 meters in length, including accessible toilet stalls and a management room, primarily used for construction sites or long-term scenic area support. The accessible type has an interior space of at least 1.8 meters, equipped with handrails and low-position washbasins, covering major beaches and parks to meet the needs of special populations.

III. Operation and Management
Qinhuangdao adopts a dynamic operation strategy: In terms of leasing strategy, during the peak tourist season, a "tidal relocation" approach is implemented, with toilets placed at beach entrances and pedestrian streets during the day and moved to night markets and guesthouse areas in the evening to improve resource utilization. Regarding cleaning standards, sand particles are blown away daily with compressed air, followed by high-pressure water jet cleaning, and fecal coliform and other indicators undergo weekly inspections to ensure hygiene standards are met. Market share indicates that Qinhuangdao-produced mobile toilets account for over 30% of the rental market in China's coastal cities, showcasing significant technological advantages.

IV. Future Directions
With the promotion of the "zero-carbon island" concept, Qinhuangdao is developing solar self-powering and rainwater collection flushing technologies, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources through photovoltaic panels and rainwater filtration systems, and promoting the transformation of mobile toilets towards low-carbon and sustainable development.
