Qijiang Smart Mobile Toilet

Admin September 23, 2026

The Qijiang Smart Mobile Toilet is a significant achievement in the construction of 'smart public toilets' as part of Qijiang District's 'toilet revolution'. Its core features lie in the configuration of intelligent equipment and the optimization of service functions.

1. Core Background of Smart Public Toilet Construction

Qijiang District is promoting the upgrading of public toilets through the 'toilet revolution', which includes the construction and renovation of both fixed and mobile toilets. The first 'smart public toilet' is located in Yingpanshan Square and is currently under construction. Simultaneously, six mobile toilets in the urban area are being upgraded to form a 'fixed + mobile' smart public toilet network. This initiative aims to enhance urban public service levels and meet citizens' demands for sanitary, convenient, and user-friendly facilities.

2. Intelligent Equipment Configuration of Smart Mobile Toilets

  1. One-Touch Call System: Connected to a management terminal via an emergency button, it can quickly respond to assistance requests from the elderly, children, or individuals with disabilities, enhancing safety and security.
  2. Environmental Monitoring System: It continuously monitors the concentration of odor gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide inside the toilet, as well as data on temperature, humidity, and foot traffic. This information is displayed on screens or accessible via mobile devices, facilitating timely cleaning and maintenance by management personnel.
  3. Constant Temperature Air Conditioning System: It automatically adjusts the indoor temperature according to the season, preventing discomfort from excessive heat in summer or cold in winter, and improving user comfort.
  4. Wireless WiFi Coverage: It provides free internet access, meeting citizens' temporary online needs and enhancing the convenience of public toilets.

3. Optimization and Enhancement of Service Functions

  1. Optimization of Toilet Cubicle Ratios: The number of toilet cubicles is adjusted based on the frequency of use by men and women, reducing waiting times and improving usage efficiency.
  2. Third Toilets and Barrier-Free Facilities: Equipped with independent spaces featuring child-sized toilets, safety grab bars, folding seats, etc., they facilitate use by families, individuals with disabilities, and those with mobility impairments.
  3. Upgraded Maternal and Child Facilities: Additional baby changing tables, nursing chairs, bottle warmers, etc., are provided to offer convenience to parents with infants.
  4. Hot Water Supply: Hot water devices are installed at handwashing stations to meet the need for handwashing in winter, demonstrating humanistic care.

4. Significance of Mobile Toilet Renovation

The upgrading of six mobile toilets in Qijiang District not only retains their advantage of flexible deployment but also, through the optimization of intelligent equipment and services, brings their functionality close to that of fixed public toilets. This 'mobile + smart' model can quickly respond to toilet demands in areas with high foot traffic, such as scenic spots, commercial districts, or temporary event venues, effectively alleviating pressure on public resources.
