Qidu Container House

The applications of container houses in Qidu are mainly reflected in scenarios such as talent apartment renovations, rural cafes, commercial streets, and vacation accommodations, combining functionality and innovation.

Container Applications in Talent Apartment Renovations

The Jiangcun Apartment renovation project transformed an idle nursing home into a talent housing project, using container buildings to create a cluster of co-creation studios and multi-functional spaces under the corridors. By incorporating container modules, the project achieved a fusion of landscape and functionality, such as the construction of characteristic landscape areas like the Welcome Garden and Sculpture Garden. Containers in this scenario are primarily used to expand public spaces, meeting the social and creative needs of talents while complementing the existing buildings and enhancing overall space utilization.

Container Innovation in Rural Cafes

"Rice Field COFFEE" by the rice fields on Zhonglu in Qidu's Zhangli is a typical example. With black and yellow container buildings as the main structure, it highlights the rice field attribute through vivid color contrasts. The courtyard features check-in spots like old-fashioned game machines and phone booths to attract young people. The modular nature of containers allows the cafe to be built in a short time and seamlessly blend with the natural landscape, providing a lightweight solution for rural commerce.

Container Clusters in Commercial Districts

The Wenshan Cherry Blossom Valley Container Commercial Street and Container Night Market projects adopt a multi-level stacking design, transforming industrial-style containers into community commercial spaces. Each container's exterior is artistically renovated with fruit paintings, neon signs, etc., forming a "color-zoned" functional layout. The commercial street, 120 meters long, plans for 37 container shops covering catering, retail, entertainment, and other businesses, with a parking area to meet the living needs of surrounding residents. The mobility and plasticity of containers play a crucial role in this scenario, enabling rapid iteration of commercial forms.

Container Experiments in Vacation Accommodations

Rujia Town Countryside Club introduces containers as one of the accommodation forms, forming a diverse accommodation system with courtyard villas, lake-view rooms, etc.. The container vacation houses are built by the water, designed in harmony with the natural landscape, offering a unique countryside experience. Such applications focus on enhancing the fun of vacations through unconventional architectural forms while maintaining structural stability and living comfort.
