Qatar Container House Villa
Admin September 14, 2026
The container houses used during the Qatar World Cup mainly came from Guangdong and Zhejiang in China, aiming to solve the accommodation problem for fans. They are not traditional villas, but some renovated container houses possess some features of villa-style accommodation experiences.

Source and Use of Container Houses
- During the Qatar World Cup, to meet the accommodation needs of a large number of fans, Qatar creatively established a "Fan Village" using container houses. These container houses were mainly provided by enterprises from Guangdong and Zhejiang in China, with over 10,000 sets supplied.
- Container houses served as temporary accommodation facilities in the "Fan Village," with each house accommodating two people. They were equipped with basic living facilities such as beds, wardrobes, coffee tables, seats, and restrooms, and were equipped with fans or air conditioners to meet the basic accommodation needs of fans.
Features and Prices of Container Houses
- Although container houses have a relatively small area, they are "small but well-equipped," with complete internal facilities to meet the basic living needs of fans.
- Each container house costs 200 US dollars per night, approximately 1,400 yuan. Compared to the star-rated hotel rooms that cost thousands of US dollars per night during the World Cup, the price is relatively economical.
Comparison between Container Houses and Villas
- Accommodation Experience: Although container houses strive to meet the needs of fans in terms of internal facilities, they still have certain gaps compared to traditional villas in terms of space, comfort, and privacy.
- Renovation and Utilization: Some container houses, after renovation, such as adding kitchens and expanding living spaces, may possess some features of villa-style accommodation experiences. However, during the Qatar World Cup, most container houses maintained their original simple structures and were mainly used to solve the temporary accommodation problems of fans.
