Qatar Container House
The container houses used during the Qatar World Cup were mainly manufactured in China, featuring rapid construction, comprehensive facilities, and cost-effectiveness.

I. Rapid Construction
During the Qatar World Cup, to meet the accommodation needs of a large number of fans, Qatar constructed multiple fan villages in Doha and other locations, with the largest 'Free Zone Fan Village' consisting of 6,000 container-style houses. These container houses were constructed rapidly, with each house taking only 4 hours to assemble, significantly shortening the construction period and providing strong support for the smooth hosting of the World Cup.
II. Comprehensive Facilities
Despite being temporary structures, these container houses were fully equipped with internal facilities. Each room, approximately 16 square meters in size, could accommodate two people and was equipped with an independent bathroom, shower facilities, air conditioning, fans, wardrobes, coffee tables, and seats, among others. Some rooms also featured small refrigerators and tea break areas, meeting the basic living needs of fans. Additionally, the fan villages were equipped with supermarkets, restaurants, and other public facilities, providing convenient living services for fans.
III. Cost-Effectiveness
Compared to the high-priced hotels in Qatar, the prices of container houses were relatively affordable. Each room was priced at $200 per night (approximately RMB 1,400), making it a cost-effective choice for fans with limited budgets. This economical accommodation option not only alleviated Qatar's accommodation pressure but also provided fans with more accommodation choices.
IV. The Key Role of Chinese Manufacturing
These container houses were primarily sourced from enterprises in Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces in China. Chinese manufacturers provided over 10,000 container-style houses, offering crucial support for the accommodation issues during the Qatar World Cup. Chinese-made container houses, with their high quality, rapid construction, and comprehensive facilities, won recognition and praise from the Qatari side.
