Puxi Creative Container House

There are applications of creative container houses in the Puxi area, and container buildings come in diverse forms and have rich functions, with numerous practical cases in creative design and modular combination.

Creative Design and Personalized Expression

Container buildings have broken through the limitations of traditional architecture and become an important medium for architects to express their creativity. For example, the Caterpillar House in the Andes Mountains of Chile uses modular shipping containers to create a unique living space. The rising lines of the building's exterior complement the natural scenery, and reasonable ventilation design reduces the use of refrigeration equipment. The Drivelines Studios residential building in Johannesburg, South Africa, is composed of 140 upgraded and reused shipping containers. It not only has social significance but also demonstrates the unique role of container buildings in urban renewal.

Modular Combination and Space Efficiency

Container buildings, with their modular characteristics, achieve efficient use of space and rapid assembly. In Shanghai Wisdom Bay Science and Technology Innovation Park, 500 containers have constructed 110,000 square meters of creative space. The unit construction cost is only 62% of that of traditional buildings, and the on-site assembly time is only one-fifth of that of traditional models. The TEU Container Tribe in Qingdao, Shandong, through the three-dimensional combination of steel structures and containers, has created nearly 12,000 square meters of commercial space on a 6,100-square-meter site, with a floor area ratio far exceeding that of traditional commercial buildings.

Functional Diversity and Scenario Adaptability

Container buildings have a wide range of application scenarios, covering multiple fields such as public services, the integration of culture, commerce, and tourism, and creative offices. The Rong·Gubei Post Station in Shanghai, as an important node in the community shared service network, serves as both a convenient and efficient "mini government affairs hall" and a vibrant community "energy field". The TEU Container Tribe in Qingdao integrates various business formats such as parent-child vacations, food and beverage, and leisure sports, becoming a new landmark for entertainment and fashion. Shanghai Wisdom Bay Science and Technology Innovation Park has created personalized creative blocks and open public spaces through container buildings, becoming a model of modern innovative office spaces.
