Pu'er Container House Design
Admin September 16, 2026
The design of container houses in Pu'er emphasizes harmony with the environment, convenience, and practicality, featuring high construction efficiency, strong flexibility, and good material adaptability.

Construction Efficiency and Flexibility
- Significant Reduction in Time Costs: Most of the structural processing and interior decoration of container houses can be completed in a standardized manner in factories, with on-site work mainly involving foundation construction and module hoisting and assembly. This greatly reduces wet work and on-site uncertainties. A basic, fully functional living unit can typically be made ready for use in a fraction of the time required by traditional methods, quickly meeting usage demands.
- Flexible Spatial Combinations: Each standard module is an independent unit, and multiple modules can be combined through horizontal juxtaposition, vertical stacking, and other methods, theoretically enabling the formation of various floor plans and spatial configurations. This flexibility allows them to adapt to different area, functional, and terrain requirements. Post-construction expansion or relocation is also more convenient than with traditional fixed buildings, allowing for flexible adjustments based on actual needs.
- Minimal Impact on Site Environment: Point foundations are used instead of large-scale excavation, causing less disruption to the original terrain and vegetation. In the ecologically sensitive and topographically complex Pu'er region, this design better achieves a gentle integration with the natural environment, reducing ecological interference.
Material Characteristics and Adaptability
- Structural Robustness and Durability: The main structure is made of weather-resistant steel, originally used for long-distance transportation and stacking. The steel frame structure has strong compression and deformation resistance. After professional anti-corrosion, fireproofing, and thermal insulation modifications, the structural safety and durability are guaranteed, enabling it to withstand various climatic conditions and providing stable living conditions.
- Thermal Insulation and Climate Adaptability: Steel has a high thermal conductivity coefficient, leading to rapid heat absorption in summer and rapid heat dissipation in winter when unmodified. Given Pu'er's large diurnal temperature variations and abundant sunshine, professional modifications are crucial. Typically, efficient thermal insulation layers such as rock wool and polyurethane foam are installed inside the container, along with a well-designed ventilation air gap layer. Combined with exterior wall shading or greening measures, these effectively block thermal bridges and enhance living comfort.
