Convenient Mobile Toilets in Pudong New Area
There are multiple convenient and fully-functional mobile toilets available in Pudong New Area.

I. Upgraded Mobile Public Toilets
In recent years, Pudong New Area has upgraded its mobile public toilets, with seven such facilities at Haitong Road and Meihua Road, Century Avenue and Weifang Road, Zhangyang Road and Miaopu Road, among others, having been renovated and unveiled. These toilets emphasize harmonious and aesthetically pleasing designs, using soft hues like light beige and light brown as the base, complemented by dark blue borders and local accents. This not only facilitates public identification and location but also enhances their appeal for use.
II. Planned Procurement and Upgrades of Mobile Public Toilets
According to the approval from the Pudong New Area Greening and City Appearance Administration Bureau in 2026, there are plans to procure and upgrade seven more mobile public toilets at locations such as 805 Gaoxiang Road, Cailun Road and Huatuo Road, Puming Road and Qixin Road, the bus stop at Lane 373, Yanzhong Road, Taolin Road and Shangcheng Road, Lijin Road and Jufeng Road, and beside 1349 Yunshan Road. This means that the number of mobile public toilets in Pudong New Area will further increase, and their distribution will become more widespread, providing greater convenience for citizens.
III. Convenience-Oriented Design
The upgraded mobile public toilets have also put considerable effort into convenience-oriented design. The ordinary toilet compartments are fully equipped with facilities and have a simple and bright decoration that meets daily usage needs. Additionally, there are "age-friendly and child-friendly toilet compartments" where auxiliary handrails are installed beside the toilets, and the children's toilet areas feature exclusive and adaptive designs. The electronic screens on the toilet compartment doors display real-time usage status,充分考虑了不同年龄段人群的需求(which fully takes into account the needs of people of different age groups), demonstrating humanized care.
IV. Special Considerations
Barrier-free access paths and stainless steel handrails have been specially added around public toilets in high-traffic areas to facilitate use by individuals with mobility impairments. Furthermore, the mobile public toilet at the intersection of Century Avenue and Weifang Road in Pudong New Area has added an exclusive "Sanitation Workers' Rest Station" equipped with facilities such as refrigerators, shower rooms, microwaves, and charging ports, providing rest and resupply for sanitation workers and reflecting care and respect for this group.
