Public Portable Toilet

Admin September 22, 2026

A public portable toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It is suitable for various places and has multiple types and significant advantages.

Suitable Places

Public portable toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These places often require flexible and convenient toilet facilities due to factors such as high foot traffic, high costs of building fixed toilets, or site limitations. Public portable toilets precisely meet this demand.

Composition Structure

Generally, they consist of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Different components work together to ensure the normal use and portability of the toilet. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excrement, and the mobile device facilitates the overall transportation of the toilet.

Material Development

Initially, they were made of wood, with simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. These new materials offer better durability, airtightness, and odor resistance, enhancing the user experience and lifespan of the toilets.

Type Classification

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are relatively simple and independent, while composite-structure toilets may be composed of multiple parts and have more complex functions.
  • By moving method: They are classified into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling types are suitable for short-distance movement, while powered and towed types can achieve longer-distance transportation.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are divided into water-flush and non-water-flush suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Different treatment methods are suitable for different environments and needs. For example, water-flush types offer an experience closer to that of traditional toilets, while dry-packing types do not require water resources and are suitable for water-scarce areas.

Advantages

They have the advantages of portability, combinability, and convenient transportation. They can be easily transported to any place where toilets need to be installed and can be used repeatedly, greatly improving resource utilization efficiency.
