Public Mobile Toilet Usage and Consumption

Admin October 05, 2026

The usage and consumption of public mobile toilets vary depending on their types and scenarios, mainly falling into four categories: free usage, QR-code-based time-limited charging, charging in commercial venues, and product purchase prices.

1. Free Public Toilets
Mobile toilets provided in public places such as tourist attractions, train stations, and parks are usually open for free with no time restrictions. These toilets are invested in and built by governments or public institutions to meet the basic needs of the public, so no fees are charged. For example, mobile toilets in city parks are mostly free to use and equipped with basic sanitary facilities, but they may experience queues or have average sanitary conditions due to high foot traffic.

2. QR-Code-Based Time-Limited Charging Mobile Toilets
Some mobile toilets adopt a "QR-code payment + time-limited usage" model. A typical case is the mobile toilet that appeared in Jinfeng, Fujian, where users need to pay 10 yuan and then start a countdown for usage. These toilets are commonly found in commercial districts or temporary event venues. By charging fees to limit usage time (e.g., 15-30 minutes), they aim to improve turnover rates and cover operational costs. The charging standards may be adjusted based on the regional economic level or service upgrades (e.g., providing tissues, hand sanitizers, etc.).

3. Charging Toilets in Commercial Venues
Mobile toilets provided in commercial districts, restaurants, entertainment venues, etc., may charge fees, but the prices are usually low (e.g., 1-5 yuan). The reasons for charging include maintenance costs, site occupancy fees, or providing additional services (e.g., a cleaner environment, air conditioning, etc.). For example, a mobile toilet in a high-end shopping mall may charge 2 yuan, while the toilet in an ordinary restaurant may be free but only available to customers.

4. Purchase Prices of Mobile Toilet Products
If you need to purchase mobile toilet equipment (e.g., eco-friendly toilets, container-type toilets), the price range is relatively wide, usually between 500 yuan and 3000 yuan. The specific price depends on the material (plastic, metal, etc.), functions (whether it includes a sewage system, water-saving design), and scale (single-room or multi-room combinations). For example, a simple plastic mobile toilet may cost only 500 yuan, while a metal toilet with a septic tank and intelligent flushing system may exceed 3000 yuan.

Summary: The consumption models of public mobile toilets are diverse. Free toilets cover basic needs, QR-code-based time-limited charging toilets are suitable for high-turnover scenarios, charging toilets in commercial venues provide differentiated services, and product purchase prices fluctuate based on configurations. Users can choose the appropriate type according to the actual scenario and their needs.
