Project Mobile Toilet Regulations

Admin October 19, 2026

The regulations for project mobile toilets cover aspects such as setting scenarios, construction requirements, daily use and maintenance, safety and emergency measures, as well as environmental protection and compliance requirements.

Setting Scenarios: Mobile toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. In areas with high pedestrian traffic, insufficient public toilets, and difficulties in constructing standalone public toilets, the urban and rural appearance and environmental sanitation administrative departments of cities, counties, and autonomous counties should organize the installation of portable public toilets (mobile toilets being one type) when conditions permit to meet public needs.

Construction Requirements: In terms of site selection and installation, it is necessary to stay away from dangerous construction areas, such as the operating radius of tower cranes and the edges of foundation pits, avoid low-lying areas prone to water accumulation, ensure a solid foundation without subsidence, and place the toilets horizontally and tighten the fixing bolts during installation. Regarding structure and materials, the overall structure should be lightweight, durable, and sturdy, with controlled height and width, and the mobile devices should be complete and reasonable. In terms of classification and sewage treatment, mobile toilets can be classified by structural form into single-unit and composite-structure mobile toilets; by mobility into hoisting and handling types, powered and towed types; and by sewage treatment method into water-flush and non-water-flush suction types, circulating water-flush types, and dry-packing types.

Daily Use and Maintenance: Before use, check whether the flushing system is functioning properly and whether there are any leaks in the fecal collection tank; flush at least once a day and regularly clean up waste; in case of rain or snow, promptly clear accumulated water inside and outside the toilet to prevent icing from affecting use.

Safety and Emergency Measures: Construction site toilets should be equipped with anti-slip mats, and the recommended height for handrails is 0.8 - 1.1 meters; provide fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, and ensure sufficient lighting during night construction; in case of equipment failure, immediately post a 'Out of Service' sign and contact for repairs.

Environmental Protection and Compliance Requirements: It is prohibited to dispose of construction waste or chemicals into the toilet; fecal disposal must comply with local sanitation regulations, and choose a正规 (regular) waste removal company; keep the area around the toilet clean and set up clear sanitation notice signs.
