Prefabricated Wooden House Materials

Admin September 18, 2026

Prefabricated wooden house materials mainly include the following types:

1. Fireproof and thermal insulation panels
B1-rated fireproof SIP sandwich panels are commonly used structural panels in prefabricated wooden houses. Their core materials are polystyrene or polyurethane, with fireproof panels rated B1 on both sides, providing both structural support and fire protection. Prefabricated building structural insulation integrated panels integrate insulation and structural layers, achieving efficient thermal insulation and rapid installation, suitable for cold regions or scenarios with high energy consumption requirements. Insulated wall panels for wooden villas typically use oriented strand board (OSB) or plywood as the base material, covered with breathable membranes or waterproof films to ensure wall breathability while preventing moisture penetration, extending the building's lifespan.

2. Structural support materials
In beam-column structures, LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) structural beams for wooden houses are formed by gluing multiple layers of rotary-cut veneers along the grain, creating high-strength, excellent bending-resistant structural beams suitable for large-span spaces. Heavy-duty wooden structural timbers such as Scotch pine glued columns and beams use Scotch pine as the raw material, enhanced in dimensional stability through gluing processes, commonly used for load-bearing columns or main beams. SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) lumber, a mixture of spruce, pine, and fir, is widely used in wooden house frames, trusses, and traditional villa wooden structures due to its uniform material and moderate strength, with high-grade products meeting complex joint connection requirements.

3. Bamboo and integrated materials
Bamboo panels are gradually becoming popular in prefabricated wooden houses. Solid bamboo panel beam-column structures are formed by longitudinally splicing or layering bamboo, creating high-strength, corrosion-resistant load-bearing components suitable for humid environments. Bamboo-wood integrated bamboo structural materials combine the advantages of bamboo and wood, enabling rapid assembly through modular design, commonly seen in vacation wooden houses or eco-buildings. Additionally, the natural texture and eco-friendly properties of bamboo make it a preferred choice for decorative structural materials.

4. Auxiliary and export materials
Radiata pine SPF engineered building lumber, with high processing precision and standardized dimensions, is commonly used for wooden house structural packaging boxes or pallets, ensuring the integrity of components during transportation. Export materials must comply with international standards (such as ISPM15 heat treatment certification) to prevent pest and disease transmission and meet cross-border logistics requirements.

Material selection requires comprehensive consideration of climate, function, and cost: Cold regions should prioritize insulation integrated panels; humid environments are suitable for anti-corrosion-treated Scotch pine or bamboo; large-span spaces require LVL beams or heavy-duty timbers; export projects must strictly adhere to target market regulations.
