Renovation Process of Prefabricated Structure Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

The renovation process of prefabricated structure houses mainly consists of seven stages: site preparation, foundation construction, component transportation and stacking, main body installation, enclosure structure installation, interior decoration, and comprehensive inspection and commissioning.

  1. Site Preparation: Select a flat, solid site with good drainage. Clear away debris and obstacles, level and compact the ground, and measure and set out lines according to the house's design dimensions and layout to provide a stable foundation for subsequent construction.
  2. Foundation Construction: Choose an appropriate foundation type based on the house type and design requirements, such as independent foundations or strip foundations. Ensure accurate foundation dimensions, proper horizontal and vertical alignment, and that the reinforcement layout and concrete pouring meet design standards to ensure the stability of the house structure.
  3. Component Transportation and Stacking: Transport the prefabricated house components from the factory to the construction site. During transportation, select suitable transportation tools based on the component size, weight, and shape, and secure them to prevent damage. Upon arrival, stack them reasonably according to component type and installation sequence for convenient subsequent installation.
  4. Main Body Installation: Lift the prefabricated components to the installation positions for splicing and connection, using dedicated connectors or bolts to ensure a firm connection. During installation, use measuring tools to continuously monitor the vertical and horizontal alignment of the components, adjust deviations promptly, and pay attention to the installation sequence and direction to ensure the accuracy of the main structure.
  5. Enclosure Structure Installation: Install the enclosure panels for the walls and roof, ensuring that the panels are installed flat and tightly, with well-sealed panel joints. Install doors and windows accurately, ensuring they open smoothly and are tightly connected to the walls to improve the house's airtightness and thermal insulation.
  6. Interior Decoration: First, have a professional designer design the interior, confirm the dimensions of each location, and obtain the owner's signature for approval. Then, knock down non-load-bearing walls that have no utility value indoors. Carry out water and electricity renovations, with kitchen wires running along the ceiling and wires in other areas running along the floor; use BV wires; and lock the connections between wire conduits with clips. Wrap the drainage pipes in the kitchen, bathroom, and balcony with soundproof cotton. If you plan to install linear lights during the renovation, purchase and pre-bury the tracks during the woodwork ceiling installation. Apply waterproofing in the bathroom, with a minimum height of 1.5 meters. Purchase cement, sand, and tiles in proportion and bring them to the site. After roughening the bathroom walls, lay the tiles, starting with the floor and then the walls. For full-house customization and wooden doors, have the merchants come to measure the dimensions. You can perform tile grouting yourself by cleaning the dust between the tiles before operation. For floor tiles, choose protective films that are at least 1.5mm thick. Apply mesh at wall joints to prevent cracks later. Choose switch panels with high-power cores and tile bases, purchase the range hood backdraft dampers in advance and have the tile installer install them, and finally install the ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom.
  7. Comprehensive Inspection and Commissioning: Inspect and commission various functions of the prefabricated house, such as door and window opening and closing, water and electricity supply, and waterproofing effects. Identify and rectify any problems promptly to ensure the house can be used normally.
