Prefabricated Steel Structure Housing Materials
Prefabricated steel structure housing materials are mainly divided into two categories: light steel structure materials and heavy steel structure materials, each with distinct characteristics and uses.

Light Steel Structure Materials:
- Exterior Wall Color Steel Sandwich Panel Insulation Board Polyurethane Exterior Wall Fireproof Board: These materials combine insulation and fireproofing functions, making them a common choice for the exterior walls of light steel structure houses. Their core structure consists of color steel sandwich panels filled with efficient insulation materials like polyurethane, with an outer layer treated with a fireproof coating. This effectively blocks heat transfer and enhances the building's fire resistance rating, suitable for scenarios with high insulation and fireproofing requirements.
- Light Steel Keel Supporting Materials: These include frame structure light steel keels, ceiling materials, partition wall keels (main keels, partition wall keels), etc., forming the skeletal support system of light steel structure houses. Made mostly of galvanized light steel, they are lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant, allowing for rapid assembly through standardized design. They are commonly used in container mobile house frames and interior partitions.
- Galvanized Square Tube and Square Steel Light Steel Materials: As auxiliary support components for light steel structures, galvanized square tubes and square steels enhance corrosion resistance through hot-dip galvanizing. They are suitable for load-bearing parts like house columns and beams and can be used in conjunction with light steel keels to enhance overall structural stability.
Heavy Steel Structure Materials:
Heavy Steel Keel Materials: These are the core components of heavy steel structure houses, manufactured from high-strength steel with higher load-bearing and deformation resistance capabilities. Their application scenarios include rural self-built houses, heavy steel villas, and other large buildings. Standardized components (such as steel beams, steel columns, and connection nodes) are prefabricated in factories and assembled on-site using bolts or welding, with a construction period of only 2-3 months. Heavy steel structure houses offer advantages such as strong earthquake and wind resistance, environmental protection and energy efficiency (with a steel recycling rate exceeding 90%), and flexible spatial layout (allowing for large-span column-free designs). They are particularly suitable for areas with complex geological conditions or high building durability requirements.
The choice between the two types of materials should be based on a comprehensive consideration of building scale, functional requirements, and budget: light steel structure materials are cost-effective and easy to construct, suitable for small temporary buildings or low-rise residences; heavy steel structure materials, although requiring higher initial investment, offer long-term advantages in terms of durability, safety, and space utilization.
