Structure of Prefabricated Slab Houses
Prefabricated slab houses are structures built primarily using prefabricated slabs, and their construction features unique characteristics.

Types and Production of Prefabricated Slabs
Prefabricated slabs are cement components produced in factories. To make them, wooden molds are first nailed together, then steel reinforcement bars are placed inside the molds, and finally, cement is poured to form the slabs. There are two types of prefabricated slabs: solid and hollow. The design of the hollow structure is quite ingenious, achieving lightweighting by reducing the concrete in non-load-bearing parts. This design not only reduces the weight of the slabs themselves, facilitating transportation and installation, but also saves on material costs to a certain extent while not affecting their basic load-bearing function.
Relationship Between Prefabricated Slab Houses and Precast Houses
Precast houses, also known as prefabricated assembled buildings, encompass various types such as assembled concrete structures and steel structures. Their components include prefabricated products like beams, slabs, walls, and columns. Prefabricated slab houses can be seen as a specific form of precast houses. In panel-assembled buildings, prefabricated wall panels and floor slabs are the core components, and the prefabricated slabs in prefabricated slab houses are equivalent to key components like floor slabs here, playing an important role in bearing upper loads and separating spaces within the house structure.
Structural Characteristics of Prefabricated Slab Houses
In prefabricated slab houses, the prefabricated slabs serve as the main components and undertake important structural functions. Solid prefabricated slabs have high strength and stiffness, capable of bearing large loads, and are suitable for parts with high structural strength requirements, such as ground-floor floor slabs. Hollow prefabricated slabs, on the other hand, reduce their own weight while ensuring a certain level of strength, making the overall house structure lighter and also helping to reduce the impact of external forces like earthquakes on the house. During installation, the prefabricated slabs are combined with other components through specific connection methods to form a complete house structural system. This assembled construction method improves construction efficiency and shortens the construction period.
