Photos of Reinforcement for Prefabricated Slab Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Although photos of reinforcement for prefabricated slab houses cannot be directly provided, common reinforcement methods can be introduced:

I. Reinforcement Using I-Beams as Crossbeams This is a relatively common and effective reinforcement method. The specific operation involves selecting I-beams of appropriate specifications as the main frame of the house, with the placement density determined by the size of the selected profile. For example, if 20-sized steel is chosen, three beams (forming a cross with the prefabricated slabs) are sufficient. At both ends of the house, I-beam columns need to be erected for support, and these columns must be firmly fixed to the walls. This reinforcement method can enhance the overall structural stability of the house and improve its load-bearing capacity, making it particularly suitable for prefabricated slab houses with large spans and high load-bearing requirements. Through the frame structure of the I-beams, the load on the house can be evenly distributed, reducing the risk of structural damage caused by excessive local stress.

II. Adding a Layer of Concrete on the Prefabricated Slabs for Reinforcement This method requires first removing a prefabricated slab in the middle to create a crossbeam, then adding a vertical beam on the crossbeam to form a cross-beam structure, and finally adding another floor slab on top. The purpose is to increase the thickness of the floor slab, making the beams and the floor slab a unified whole, thereby improving the overall integrity and load-bearing capacity of the structure. However, it should be noted that merely reinforcing the floor slab is not enough; the walls also need to be reinforced. Since walls are an important part of the house structure, if the walls are unstable, the overall safety of the house cannot be guaranteed even if the floor slab is well-reinforced.

III. Section Enlargement Reinforcement Method This method involves adding a structure with a thickness of no less than 40mm on the surface or bottom of the prefabricated slab. By increasing the cross-sectional size, the load-bearing capacity and stiffness of the component can be improved. When adding a structure on the surface of the slab, attention should be paid to reliable connection with the original structure to ensure that the newly added part can work in coordination with the original prefabricated slab. When adding a structure at the bottom of the slab, the feasibility of construction and the impact on the house's functionality need to be considered. This reinforcement method is suitable for prefabricated slab houses with insufficient load-bearing capacity but sufficient space for section enlargement.
