Thermal Insulation Methods for Prefabricated Panel Houses
Admin September 19, 2026
Thermal insulation for prefabricated panel houses can be achieved through measures such as roof insulation and indoor insulation, as detailed below:

Roof Insulation
- Applying Thermal Insulation Aluminum Foil: If the roof does not require frequent access, applying thermal insulation aluminum foil is a suitable option. This foil effectively reflects the heat radiated by sunlight. When sunlight hits the roof, most of the heat is reflected back by the foil, reducing the amount of heat entering the interior and lowering indoor temperatures. This material is easy to install and relatively low in cost, making it an economical and practical insulation method for prefabricated panel houses with limited budgets and low roof usage frequency.
- Using Thermal Insulation Foam Glass: When the roof requires frequent access, thermal insulation foam glass is a better choice. It is pressure-resistant and can withstand the pressure generated by people walking on the roof without being easily damaged. Additionally, it offers the advantages of waterproofing and insect resistance, effectively protecting the roof structure. Thermal insulation foam glass is easy to install and has a long service life, providing stable insulation performance over an extended period to ensure warm interiors in winter and cool interiors in summer.
Indoor Insulation
- Installing GWS Glass Wool: Installing GWS glass wool on the indoor ceiling using a keel frame is an effective method for indoor insulation. GWS glass wool has excellent thermal insulation properties, preventing heat transfer between the interior and the roof. It not only provides good insulation but also has an aesthetically pleasing appearance, not affecting the overall interior decoration style. Furthermore, GWS glass wool has a long service life, requiring only a single installation for long-term use, offering sustained warmth in winter and coolness in summer for the interior.
Construction Precautions
When carrying out thermal insulation construction, thorough preparations are essential. Tools such as gloves, rulers, protective clothing, and masks should be prepared to ensure the safety of construction personnel. When cutting insulation materials, specialized serrated tools should be used to ensure cutting precision and effectiveness. When measuring dimensions, an extra half centimeter to one centimeter should be allowed to ensure that the insulation materials fit better into the gaps, improving insulation performance and construction stability.
