Reinforcement and Renovation of Prefabricated Panel Houses
The reinforcement and renovation of prefabricated panel houses should be systematically carried out from two aspects: structural reinforcement and renovation upgrading. Specific measures are as follows:

I. Structural Reinforcement
Comprehensive Structural Safety Assessment
It is necessary to entrust a professional institution to conduct structural inspections on the house, focusing on checking the crack width of the prefabricated panels (special treatment is required if it exceeds 0.3 millimeters), the connection status between the prefabricated panels and the ring beams (bolts with a rust rate exceeding 30% need to be replaced), as well as damage to key parts such as walls, beams, and columns, providing data support for subsequent reinforcement.Panel Bottom Reinforcement
- Carbon Fiber Adhesion: When the load increase is relatively small, carbon fiber cloth can be directly adhered to the bottom of the hollow panel to enhance its load-bearing capacity using its high-strength properties.
- Steel Beam Addition: If the load increase is significant, steel beams can be added to the bottom of the panel to disperse the load by changing the stress mode of the hollow panel, ensuring reliable connection between the steel beams and the prefabricated panels.
Panel Seam Treatment
Remove the original filling material, implant No. 6 threaded steel bars (spacing determined according to design requirements), and pour C30 fine aggregate concrete to enhance the shear resistance of the panel seams and prevent crack propagation.Wall Reinforcement
- Rebar Planting and Grouting: Repaint the exterior walls and use rebar planting and grouting techniques to strengthen the connection between the walls and structural components, improving overall stability.
- Crack Repair: For minor wall cracks, grouting repair can be used; for severe cracks or those affecting structural safety, steel plate reinforcement is required, with the thickness of the steel plate and anchoring method determined through calculations.
Addition of Structural Columns
Add structural columns at key locations such as the corners of the house and stairwells, with a typical cross-sectional dimension of 240*240 millimeters, using No. 6 and No. 8 rebars for reinforcement, and reliably connecting them to the floor slab to enhance the house's lateral resistance.Reinforcement for Insufficient Panel Placement Length
If the placement length of the prefabricated panels is insufficient, angle steel supports can be added on both sides of the panel seams, with holes drilled at intervals for through-bolts to be tensioned, requiring construction under the guidance of a professional structural engineer to ensure reinforcement effectiveness.
II. Renovation Upgrading
Sound Insulation Treatment
Install sound insulation boards on walls, floors, and other areas, and replace windows with double-glazed windows to effectively reduce external noise interference and improve living comfort.Waterproofing Treatment
Recast the concrete roof and properly construct the waterproof layer to ensure roof waterproofing and structural durability, avoiding leakage problems.Functional Upgrading
According to modern living needs, replan the space, such as adding elevators and optimizing the layout of the house type, to enhance the functionality of the house.
