Accessories for Reinforcing Prefabricated Panel Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Common accessories and materials for reinforcing prefabricated panel houses include carbon fiber cloth and matching adhesives, steel mesh sheets, angle steel supports and through bolts, high-strength mortar and steel-bonded reinforcement materials. Other auxiliary materials should be selected based on engineering requirements.

1. Carbon Fiber Cloth and Matching Adhesives
Carbon fiber cloth is one of the core materials for reinforcing prefabricated panel houses, particularly suitable for repairing floor slab cracks and enhancing structural strength. Its principle involves improving the tensile and shear resistance of components through the composite action of high-strength carbon fiber cloth and structural adhesives. The commonly used specification is 300g first-grade carbon fiber cloth, which must be used with carbon fiber impregnating adhesive to ensure effective bonding between the fibers and the concrete substrate. These materials are lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant, with convenient construction and minimal damage to the original structure. However, strict control of the bonding process is required to avoid air pockets or delamination.

2. Steel Mesh Sheets
Cold-rolled ribbed anti-crack reinforcement steel mesh sheets are key accessories for enhancing the overall integrity of floor slabs. By laying steel mesh sheets on the surface or inside the floor slab and pouring high-strength mortar or concrete, the anti-crack performance and load-bearing capacity of the structure can be significantly improved. These materials are commonly used for reinforcing beams, columns, and floor slabs in bridges and residential buildings, especially suitable for joints or weak areas of prefabricated panels. During construction, attention should be paid to the spacing of the steel mesh sheets, anchorage length, and connection methods with the original structure to ensure reinforcement effectiveness.

3. Angle Steel Supports and Through Bolts
For issues such as insufficient bearing length of prefabricated panels or weak connection nodes, adding angle steel supports and installing through bolts are effective reinforcement methods. Angle steel provides additional lateral support, enhancing structural stability; through bolts firmly fix the prefabricated panels to the supporting structure through mechanical connections, preventing displacement or detachment. The specifications and spacing of these accessories should be determined based on structural stress calculations. During construction, it is essential to ensure that the tightening torque of the bolts meets design requirements to avoid loosening.

4. High-Strength Mortar and Steel-Bonded Reinforcement Materials
When used for structural strengthening, high-strength mortar can fill cracks or wrap reinforcement components to enhance local load-bearing capacity; steel-bonded reinforcement materials form a composite stress system by bonding steel plates to the concrete surface with structural adhesives, suitable for reinforcing beams, columns, and other components. These materials should be selected based on environmental conditions, choosing products with excellent weather resistance and corrosion resistance, and strictly controlling construction temperature and humidity to ensure bonding quality.

Other Auxiliary Materials
Epoxy anti-corrosion materials can be used to protect reinforcement components from environmental corrosion, extending their service life; specialized adhesives for building crack reinforcement are designed for repairing fine cracks, featuring strong permeability and fast curing. In actual engineering projects, material selection should be based on the structural type, degree of damage, and design requirements, with construction guided by professional structural engineers to ensure the safety and cost-effectiveness of the reinforcement plan.
