Principle of Prefabricated Panel Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

The principle of prefabricated panel houses is centered around factory-made standardized cement components, which are rapidly assembled on-site to form the house structure.

I. Production Principle of Prefabricated Panels

Prefabricated panels are core components in house construction, and their production follows a standardized industrial process. First, wooden models of specific dimensions are made according to design requirements to serve as molds for concrete pouring. Subsequently, a steel reinforcement framework is laid inside the mold, with the specifications and spacing of the steel bars strictly adhering to structural mechanics requirements to provide tensile strength. Finally, cement concrete is poured into the mold, which is then vibrated to ensure density and cured to harden, forming the prefabricated panel. Depending on structural needs, prefabricated panels come in two types: solid and hollow. Solid panels are entirely made of concrete and are suitable for areas with high load-bearing requirements. Hollow panels reduce the amount of non-load-bearing concrete by incorporating reserved holes inside, achieving lightweight construction while maintaining structural strength and reducing transportation and installation difficulties.

II. Transportation and Installation Principle of Prefabricated Panels

After production in the factory, prefabricated panels need to be transported to the construction site using specialized transportation tools. During transportation, securing measures must be taken to prevent damage to the components, and the loading sequence should be planned according to the installation sequence. On-site installation involves construction personnel determining the laying positions of the prefabricated panels according to the design drawings and precisely placing them on pre-poured concrete beams or walls using lifting equipment. Structural integrity is achieved by connecting adjacent prefabricated panels through reserved steel bars or concrete grouting. This "factory production + on-site assembly" model is similar to building with blocks, breaking down complex house construction into the manufacturing and assembly of standardized components, significantly shortening the construction period.

III. Structural Principle of Prefabricated Panel Houses

The structural system of prefabricated panel houses typically consists of prefabricated panels, load-bearing beams, columns, and foundations. As floor or roof components, prefabricated panels transfer loads to the columns and foundations through reliable connections with the load-bearing beams, forming a complete load transfer path. Hollow prefabricated panels optimize structural loading through the rational arrangement of holes, while solid prefabricated panels provide higher load-bearing capacity through their integrity. The entire structural system ensures the controllability of component quality and the reliability of structural safety through the standardized production of prefabricated components, while also reducing on-site wet work and minimizing the environmental impact of construction.
