Construction Process of Prefabricated Panel Houses
Admin September 19, 2026
The construction process of prefabricated panel houses varies depending on the application scenario. Typical processes can be divided into four categories: old house renovation, partition wall construction, exterior wall cladding installation, and general wall panel installation, as detailed below:

1. Construction Process for Renovating Old Houses with Prefabricated Panels
- Structural Assessment and Demolition Preparation
Inspect the width of cracks in the prefabricated panels (those exceeding 0.3 mm require treatment), the rust rate of bolts (those exceeding 30% need replacement), and the connection status. Set up a temporary support system with steel pipe supports every 1.2 meters along the length of the prefabricated panels. Use H-shaped steel beams with a cross-section of no less than 200*200 mm for key nodes to ensure structural stability during demolition. - Demolition and Reinforcement
Demolish in sections following the principle of 'middle first, then sides,' with a daily demolition volume not exceeding 30% of the total floor area. After removing the joint filler material, implant No. 6 threaded rebar and pour C30 fine aggregate concrete. Add constructional columns with a cross-section of 240*240 mm at the four corners of the house, reinforced with No. 6 and No. 8 rebar tied together and connected to the floor slab to enhance overall seismic resistance. - Roof and Wall Treatment
After removing the original wooden roof, pour a concrete roof to enhance waterproofing and load-bearing capacity. After removing the exterior walls, perform plastering and rebar grouting to increase load strength and repair surface defects.
2. Construction Process for Prefabricated Partition Walls
- Tool and Mold Preparation
Inspect the construction environment and prepare materials such as galvanized square tubes and prefabricated welded connectors. Fabricate a mold frame and lay a film to prevent adhesion, ensuring a smooth surface for the prefabricated panels. - Prefabricated Panel Production
Place a rebar mesh inside the mold to enhance structural strength, pour concrete, and implant welded components. After solidification, remove the mold carefully to avoid damaging the surface and ensure dimensional accuracy of the prefabricated panels. - Installation and Fixing
Align the embedded parts of the prefabricated panels precisely with those on the ground beam, wall, and ceiling, and secure them by welding. For subsequent stone cladding, drill holes, polish, and use a wet粘贴 (adhesive) method to ensure a firm connection between the decorative layer and the prefabricated panel.
3. Installation Process for Prefabricated Exterior Wall Claddings
- Floor Cleaning and Positioning
Clean the floor and verify the elevation of the cladding position (repair if the error exceeds 5 mm). Release positioning sidelines and control lines to ensure accurate installation benchmarks. - Hoisting and Adjustment
Use a tower crane to lift the cladding. Check its status when it is 50 cm above the ground and control its descent direction by construction personnel when it is 50 cm from the working layer. Install upper and lower diagonal supports to adjust the position and verticality, with deviations controlled within specified limits. - Fixing and Acceptance
After releasing the lifting gear, install other components in sequence and inspect the overall stability to ensure reliable connection between the cladding and the main structure.
4. Installation Process for General Prefabricated Wall Panels
- Surveying and Setting Out
Release positioning lines for the exterior wall panels, correct skewed rebar, and verify the positioning and verticality of reserved rebar to avoid installation deviations. - Support and Elevation Adjustment
Place adjusting shims and use a level to verify the elevation, ensuring the wall panels are installed horizontally. - Concrete Pouring
After positioning, pour concrete to fix the connection between the wall panels and the main structure, enhancing overall integrity.
All construction processes must be guided by professional design, with real-time monitoring of stress changes in the support system. Heavy hammer impacts during demolition are prohibited to avoid damaging the foundation.
