Prefabricated Houses with Panel Materials

Admin September 19, 2026

Prefabricated houses with panel materials mainly include two types: panel-assembled buildings in precast houses and SIP composite houses.

Panel-Assembled Buildings in Precast Houses

Panel-assembled buildings in precast houses take precast wall panels and floor slabs as their core components. This building form involves precasting major structural components such as wall panels and floor slabs in a factory, followed by rapid assembly at the construction site. Precast wall panels and floor slabs are typically made of high-strength materials, such as reinforced concrete or lightweight composite materials, to ensure structural stability and durability. Since these components are precast in the factory, construction efficiency can be significantly improved, reducing on-site construction time and labor costs. Meanwhile, the precision and quality of precast components are easier to control, contributing to enhanced overall building quality.

SIP Composite Houses

SIP composite houses employ SIP panels for prefabricated on-site installation. SIP panels, or Structural Insulated Panels, are composite panels that integrate structural and insulation functions. They usually consist of OSB (Oriented Strand Board) as the facing material and polyurethane (PU) as the core material, forming a lightweight yet high-strength structural system. OSB facing offers excellent mechanical properties and workability, while the PU core provides superior thermal insulation performance. Additionally, the facing materials of SIP panels can be selected according to needs, such as magnesium oxide boards or cement fiber boards, and insulation materials can include EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) or rock wool to meet different climatic conditions and building requirements. The installation process of SIP composite houses is relatively simple and fast. Since the panels are already prefabricated, only splicing and fixation are required on-site, greatly shortening the construction period. Meanwhile, the excellent thermal insulation performance of SIP panels also helps reduce building energy consumption and improve living comfort.
