Comprehensive Guide to Prefabricated House Construction Steps

Admin September 18, 2026

The construction steps for different types of prefabricated houses are as follows:

I. Construction Steps for BBQ Wooden Houses (Hexagonal or Octagonal Prefabricated Wooden Houses)

  1. Foundation Construction: Use prefabricated steel frames as the main supporting structure, which can be placed directly on a flat ground or elevated with stone piers for stability, adapting to different terrain requirements.
  2. Floor Installation: Quickly assemble floor modules, using screws to reinforce connection points and ensure structural stability.
  3. Wall Assembly: Follow the assembly instructions provided by the factory to拼接 (assemble) wall modules, paying attention to alignment and fixation between modules.
  4. Corner Protection: Install corner protectors at wall corners to enhance structural durability and improve aesthetics.
  5. Roof Construction: When installing roof modules, focus on treating the waterproof layer at the overlapping positions to prevent leakage.
  6. Finishing Work: Install doors and windows and complete painting work, choosing waterproof or decorative coatings according to needs.

II. Construction Steps for Prefabricated Residential Buildings

  1. Technical Preparation:
    • Complete the positioning of all embedded measures before drawing component diagrams to ensure alignment with building functions.
    • Synchronize the production, processing, and loading sequence of components with the on-site lifting plan to avoid process conflicts.
    • Check reserved and embedded parts in the component diagrams after they are issued to prevent omissions or errors that may affect subsequent construction.
  2. Layout Planning:
    • Use 20mm thick steel plates for site hardening, covering material storage yards, the bottom of external scaffolding, and vehicle access roads, balancing turnover efficiency and environmental protection needs.
    • Ensure vehicle access roads allow for two-way traffic to avoid delays in lifting operations.
    • Determine the number and model of tower cranes based on component weight and range, prioritizing placement near heavy components or difficult lifting areas.
  3. Pre-lifting Preparation:
    • Organize and install appropriate lifting fixtures, load components onto vehicles according to the lifting sequence to reduce on-site transfer time.
    • Mark component serial numbers upon arrival and locate them on the drawings to reduce the risk of mis-lifting.
    • Set out section control lines in advance, install embedded parts for wall adjustment tools, and complete the lower support system and column top elevation corrections.
  4. Lifting Process:
    • Adjust components to a horizontal state during lifting for easy alignment and placement of reinforcing bars.
    • Immediately check the position of reinforcing bars after column formwork removal to ensure structural safety.

III. Standard Floor Construction Procedures for Prefabricated Buildings (Taking Prefabricated Bay Windows and Balconies as Examples)

  1. Prefabricated Bay Window Installation:
    • Setting out and positioning → Wall and column reinforcement binding and aluminum formwork sealing → Floor bottom reinforcement binding → Reservation and embedding of water and electricity pipelines → Floor concrete pouring → Precision leveling of the cast-in-place floor.
  2. Prefabricated Balcony Installation:
    • Floor bottom reinforcement binding → Reservation and embedding of water and electricity pipelines → Floor concrete pouring → Precision leveling of the cast-in-place floor.
