Prefabricated House Roof Waterproofing Treatment
There are mainly the following methods for waterproofing treatment of prefabricated house roofs:
Color-steel roof: The color-steel roof is made of metal sheets with an anti-rust coating and is installed by pressing and assembling whole sheets, which basically prevents rain leakage. There are two installation methods: pointed-roof style and flat-roof style. The rainproof coefficients are the same, but the cost of a pointed roof is about 20% higher than that of a flat roof. The service life of a color-steel roof is 20 years, and the basic price ranges from 60 to 80 yuan per square meter. This type of roof has good waterproofing performance and relatively simple installation, making it suitable for users with high roof waterproofing requirements and relatively sufficient budgets.
Waterproofing membrane: Waterproofing membranes are commonly used roof waterproofing materials, and their waterproofing effect depends on the quality of the membranes and the technical proficiency of the construction personnel. The price of a waterproofing membrane alone is a dozen yuan per square meter, and the overall cost is not low when construction fees are included. The service life of the membrane is generally about 15 years. When using exposed-type waterproofing membranes such as polyvinyl chloride waterproofing membranes (PVC) as a single layer on the metal sheet base layer of the roof, there are specific requirements for the thickness of the waterproofing membrane. For Class I waterproofing, the thickness should not be less than 1.8mm; for Class II, it should not be less than 1.5mm; and for Class III, it should not be less than 1.2mm. For a waterproofing layer made of membranes bonded with cement-based materials, the continuous length unit should be controlled within 45m, and sub-division treatment should be carried out if exceeded.
Covering the entire roof with plastic film: Covering the entire roof with plastic film and then fixing it with something or covering a layer of soil (or other covering materials) on top of the plastic film can solve the problem of rain leakage. However, this method has a relatively short service life, generally only about 2 - 3 years, but its advantage is that it is cheap, with a general price of about 2 yuan per square meter. It is suitable for temporary or short-term use scenarios with a limited budget and low roof waterproofing requirements.
Waterproofing treatment for cracks: If there are cracks on the roof, use an angle grinder to cut a groove along the direction of the crack, clean the base layer with a brush and wet it with water, fill the crack with "Water Leak Stopper" and make it waterproof, and press and smooth the "Water Leak Stopper" with your hands. The setting time is about 5 minutes. In the sealed area, use the "one-cloth-two-coats" waterproofing process for reinforcement treatment. That is, apply a layer of Delisi waterproofing slurry in the pre-treated area. When it is still wet, directly lay the sewn polyester fabric on it, brush it flat with a brush, with a lap width of the polyester fabric of about 6 centimeters. Then soak the polyester fabric with Delisi slurry until it is completely dry, and finally apply another layer of Delisi slurry.
