Prefabricated House Lifting Equipment

Admin September 18, 2026

The commonly used equipment in prefabricated house lifting projects includes core load-bearing tools, crane-type equipment, and auxiliary tools. Details are as follows:

Core load-bearing tools are the foundation of lifting operations, mainly including rigging, lifting devices, and multi-strand high-strength steel wire ropes. Rigging is used to connect lifting equipment with the lifted components, and through reasonable design, it can disperse stress points and avoid local stress concentration. Lifting devices are customized according to the shape of the components, such as special hooks or clamps designed for wall panels, to ensure the stability of the components during lifting. Multi-strand high-strength steel wire ropes are the core load-bearing components, with high tensile strength and good flexibility, capable of bearing the weight of prefabricated house components and achieving safe lifting through cooperation with the lifting points on the wall panels.

Crane-type equipment is the core power source for lifting operations. Common types include crawler cranes, tire cranes, tower cranes (including variants such as rail-mounted and attached types), derrick cranes, and truck cranes.

  • Crawler cranes have a large contact area with the ground, low requirements for ground bearing capacity, are suitable for working on muddy, soft, and other poor ground conditions, and can move with a load, offering high flexibility.
  • Tire cranes have strong mobility but need to operate on hard and flat ground, making them suitable for short-distance relocation.
  • Tower cranes achieve precise positioning of heavy objects in three-dimensional space through lifting, slewing, and luffing mechanisms, and are especially suitable for high-rise prefabricated buildings.
  • Derrick cranes have a simple structure and a large lifting capacity but are difficult to move, making them suitable for heavy-duty special lifting scenarios (such as super-large components).
  • Truck cranes need to extend outriggers in advance to stabilize the vehicle body and cannot move with a load during operation, but they have a fast relocation speed and are suitable for small and medium-sized projects.

Auxiliary tools are used to optimize the lifting process, including spreader beams, pulley blocks, and lifting connectors. Spreader beams can reduce the horizontal component of the force on the steel wire ropes and prevent the components from tipping over. Pulley blocks can reduce the load on the lifting equipment by changing the direction of the force or the force reduction ratio. Lifting connectors (such as shackles and swivels) are used to quickly connect the steel wire ropes with the components, improving work efficiency. In addition, in the case of the lifting of the prefabricated concrete house for the villa of Mr. He in Shaoshan, transportation and lifting collaborative equipment such as cranes and trucks also played a crucial role, ensuring a seamless transition from transportation to installation of the components.
