Small-Area Prefabricated House Designs
- Brette Haus's BASIC Prefabricated House: It has an internal floor area of approximately 15 square meters, with a total area including the patio of 22 square meters. On the ground floor, there is a small kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and an open-plan leisure and dining area, meeting basic living functional needs. The mezzanine on the upper floor can accommodate a double bed and a relaxation area, making full use of vertical space and increasing living comfort and functionality. However, the basic model does not include any pre-installed engineering or sanitary equipment, which can be installed and configured later according to personal needs.
- Backcountry Hut Company's System 01 Prefabricated Cabin: It has a living space of 17 square meters, featuring an open-plan lounge and kitchen, a bathroom, and a sleeping or storage loft. The exterior shell does not include internal components or fixtures, only walls, windows, and exterior decorations. This design gives users a large amount of autonomy in design, allowing them to arrange interior facilities according to their own preferences and needs.
Design Ideas for Ordinary Residences
- 22㎡ Ultra-Small Residence in Yangpu District, Shanghai: It has reasonably planned six major functional areas: the entrance hall, kitchen, dining room, living room (bedroom), bathroom area, and toilet room. The original doorway has been transformed into a shoe cabinet to form an entrance hall, increasing storage capacity. The kitchen is less than 4 square meters, and the external work surface adopts a high-low cabinet design, with built-in household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, improving space utilization. The bathroom area and toilet room are separated dry and wet, with a Japanese-style integrated shower room installed, enhancing convenience and comfort of use. A wall bed is installed in the living room's cabinets, which can be converted into a bedroom when needed, achieving multi-functional use of space.
- 118㎡ New House in Wuhan: The original layout was a fully open-plan structure, which has been renovated into a two-bedroom, two-living room, and one-bathroom layout. An independent storage room has been added on one side of the entrance, increasing storage space. The living room, dining room, and kitchen adopt an integrated design, making the space more open and transparent. The balcony has been raised as a whole and connected to the children's room via a slide, adding fun. The bathroom adopts a three-separation layout and retains two toilet rooms, improving usage efficiency. An independent entrance hall area has been planned at the entrance, with black hexagonal tiles laid on the floor, rounded corners on the wall corners, a full-wall entrance hall cabinet designed on the right side, a storage room of about 6 square meters behind the adjacent cabinet door, and a pegboard installed on the left side of the kitchen partition wall, which is both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
