Insulation Materials for Prefabricated Houses
The main insulation materials for prefabricated houses include silicon graphene insulation boards, rock wool boards, extruded polystyrene boards, polyurethane boards, EPS boards, etc..

Silicon Graphene Insulation Boards: A new type of A (A2) non-combustible insulation material developed by Shanghai Shengkui. It is made using inorganic-organic composite technology and a secondary foaming process involving calcium silicate pressing. With polystyrene particles as the aggregate and a built-in double-layer steel mesh structure, it possesses high toughness and strength. It has a low thermal conductivity, low water absorption, and excellent crack resistance, meeting durability standards of 160 thermal-rain cycles and 80 freeze-thaw cycles. It can replace traditional external formwork for single-pour forming and is suitable for ultra-low-energy, near-zero-energy buildings, and renovations of existing buildings, covering technical routes such as integrated insulation and decoration boards and reverse-striking integration of prefabricated components.
Rock Wool Boards: Made primarily from basalt. They have excellent fire resistance, effectively preventing the spread of fire and ensuring building safety. Additionally, rock wool boards offer good sound insulation, reducing the impact of external noise on the indoor environment. Therefore, they are particularly suitable for crowded places such as hospitals and schools, providing a quiet and safe space for people.
Extruded Polystyrene Boards (XPS Boards): Suitable for damp areas such as basements. They not only have good thermal insulation properties, effectively reducing heat transfer and lowering energy consumption, but also have moisture-resistant characteristics, preventing issues such as mold and corrosion in basements due to dampness, ensuring the dryness and stability of the basement.
Polyurethane Boards: They have excellent thermal insulation properties, effectively maintaining stable indoor temperatures. However, their fire resistance is relatively poor, requiring additional fire protection measures. They are commonly used for complexly shaped roofs and can be flexibly installed according to the roof's shape to meet the design requirements of different buildings.
EPS Boards: Economical and cost-effective, they are commonly used insulation materials for the exterior walls of ordinary residential buildings. They can reduce heat loss to a certain extent, lowering heating and cooling costs. However, fire isolation measures should be taken during use to improve building safety.
