Supporting Facilities for Prefabricated House Finished Products

Admin September 18, 2026

Supporting facilities for prefabricated house finished products cover structural systems, exterior enclosure systems, internal facilities, and other advantageous配套 (supporting) aspects.

Structural System Support: Vertical and lateral force-resisting systems are selected based on building function, height, and seismic design intensity. For example, steel frame structures are suitable for buildings under 30 meters; steel frame-braced structures enhance stability through central, eccentric, or buckling-restrained braces; in steel frame-shear wall (or ductile wall panel) structures, shear walls can be prefabricated or cast-in-place reinforced concrete, while ductile wall panels include types like steel plate shear walls; staggered truss structures are suitable for large-space requirements; and low-rise cold-formed thin-walled steel structures are used for buildings not exceeding 3 stories or with eave heights not exceeding 12 meters. The floor system employs highly prefabricated formwork-free floor and roof systems, such as steel truss floor decks (easy to install, lightweight, low transportation costs, with metal or non-metal base molds that do not need to be removed during ceiling installation), prefabricated composite floor slabs (flat bottom surface, large span, can be designed as one-way or two-way slabs, with slab joints connected by tight or wide seams), and prestressed composite floor slabs (PK slabs), etc.

Exterior Enclosure System Support: Exterior wall and roofing systems prioritize lightweight materials to reduce building self-weight and improve construction efficiency. The use of lightweight materials aligns with the integrated and standardized characteristics of modular buildings, facilitating transportation and installation.

Internal Facility Support: Water and electricity pipelines are prefabricated on factory assembly lines and installed simultaneously during assembly, reducing on-site construction processes; bathroom waterproofing layers are manufactured in the factory to ensure quality control; housing modules adopt 'ID card' management, with each module labeled with project name, product model, production date, etc. The positioning accuracy of steel bar locations is measured in millimeters, with strict error control.

Other Advantageous Support Aspect: Construction periods are reduced by more than 60% compared to traditional buildings. For example, a public housing project in Shenzhen, Guangdong, assembled with 6,028 concrete modules, reduced its completion and delivery time from 2.5-3 years to 1 year; significant environmental benefits include reduced on-site noise, dust, and construction waste, as well as alleviated traffic congestion. For instance, the aforementioned project reduced on-site labor by approximately 50%, and regions like Fujian Province have established industrial bases through policy support, achieving a more than 70% reduction in construction waste.
