Prefabricated House Construction Process Diagram

Admin September 18, 2026

The construction process of a prefabricated house mainly consists of four stages: foundation treatment, installation of foundation piles and assembly of crossbeams, backfilling soil and pouring the foundation, and building the main house structure.

Foundation Treatment: First, the foundation site needs to be leveled and a bedding layer poured. Weeds on the site should be cleared to ensure a flat foundation surface. Then, foundation pits are excavated, and white plastic sheets are laid at the bottom of the pits. Their function is to prevent moisture loss from the concrete, promote hydration reactions, and ensure the strength of the foundation. After that, concrete is poured. In some cases, no steel bars are used in the foundation, depending on design requirements and geological conditions.

Installation of Foundation Piles and Assembly of Crossbeams: After the concrete has set, sole plates are installed. Drilling is carried out using a drill, and the sole plates are fixed with expansion screws. Subsequently, pre-fabricated foundation piles, each weighing about 5 tons and having reserved holes at the four corners for lifting, are hoisted using a mobile crane. After the foundation piles are installed, crossbeams are assembled like building blocks. Their positions are adjusted through level measurements to ensure that the crossbeams meet the horizontal standards and are then fixed with nuts. To prevent water or air leakage through gaps, foam sealant is used to fill the gaps, and the nut-fixing areas are sealed with cement to enhance structural stability.

Backfilling Soil and Pouring the Foundation: After the foundation frame structure is completed, soil needs to be backfilled to fix the foundation piles and crossbeams, further enhancing the load-bearing capacity of the foundation. During the backfilling process, the soil should be compacted in layers to avoid foundation settlement caused by loose soil.

Building the Main House Structure: After unloading the pre-fabricated components from the truck, the house chassis frame is built on the pre-poured concrete foundation. When laying the floor joists, the pre-fabricated beam components are locked at the joints with metal connectors to ensure structural stability, and then wooden panels are covered. When installing wall modules, they are lifted onto the platform and erected, and then fixed to the base plate with a nail gun after alignment. After the exterior wall frame is enclosed, the interior requires cutting and assembling partition wall frames, while also laying the floor beams for the second floor. Roof construction is a crucial step. Huge triangular trusses need to be transported to the correct positions. Ground workers and roof workers cooperate to hoist them and precisely place them on the top crossbeams of the walls to ensure a tight connection between the roof and the walls.
