Prefabricated House Construction Guide
Admin September 18, 2026
The construction guide for prefabricated houses varies depending on the type. Common types include prefabricated rural villas, prefabricated detachable container houses, and modular buildings. Here are the specific construction processes:

Construction Process of Prefabricated Rural Villas
- Foundation Leveling and Cushion Pouring: First, clear the weeds on the foundation, level the ground, and then excavate the foundation pit. Lay white plastic sheeting at the bottom of the pit to prevent groundwater infiltration, and then pour concrete. Generally, steel bars are not used in this process.
- Foundation Pile Installation and Beam Splicing: After the concrete solidifies, install the footplates. Use a drill to make holes and fix them with expansion screws. Then install prefabricated foundation piles weighing about 5 tons, splice the beams, and secure them with nuts. Fill the gaps with expanding foam and seal them with cement to ensure the stability of the foundation.
- Backfilling and Foundation Pouring: After completing the foundation frame construction, backfill the soil to further enhance the stability of the foundation.
- Main Body Construction: Use mortise-and-tenon joints between the beams for quick connection, improving construction efficiency. After hoisting the stairs, lay a 5-centimeter-thick floor slab, and finally grout all the component gaps to ensure the airtightness and firmness of the main structure.
Construction Process of Prefabricated Detachable Container Houses
- Bottom Frame Installation: Connect the lower corner fittings and the bottom sills, place the purlins, and fix them with bolts. Measure the diagonals to ensure the frame is vertical. When connecting the columns, leave some room for movement. Lay MGO boards and level the ground to provide a flat foundation for subsequent installation.
- Top Frame Installation: Connect the upper corner fittings and the top longitudinal beams, install the top transverse beams and columns, and use a level to measure the verticality to ensure the flatness of the top frame. Reinforce the intersections of the top purlins, install drainage channels and drainage pipes to ensure the normal drainage function of the house.
- Sealing and Wall Panel Installation: Stick sealing strips on the inner sides of the columns, bottom sills, and top sills to prevent rainwater leakage. Install the wall panels one by one and reserve positions for doors and windows. When installing the ceiling, choose an appropriate fixing method according to the condition of the wall panels.
- Interior Decoration and Roof Laying: Make holes in the walls to fix the wires and lay glass wool for thermal insulation. Install the roof tiles and fix them on the inner side of the drainage channels to ensure the waterproof performance of the roof.
Construction Process of Modular Buildings
- Factory Prefabrication: Manufacture modules such as ceilings, walls, and water and electricity pipelines in the factory, using parallel operations and automated production lines to greatly shorten the production cycle.
- On-site Assembly: Transport the prefabricated modules to the construction site and assemble them like building blocks using tower cranes and other equipment. Each module comes with a detailed 'ID card' to ensure the accuracy and quality of the assembly.
- Connection and Acceptance: Perform cast-in-place connections on the modules to enhance the integrity of the building. After completion and handover, it can effectively reduce on-site noise, dust, and other disturbing factors.
