Treatment of Cement Roofs for Prefabricated Houses
The treatment of cement roofs for prefabricated houses mainly includes three aspects: reinforcement, thermal insulation, and waterproofing. The specific treatment methods are as follows:

Reinforcement Treatment
If the prefabricated panels are pulled apart or damaged, they can be refilled with cement mortar and reinforced with thicker steel bars to enhance structural strength. If the roof shifts, it can be stabilized using iron pipe supports or by adding brick piers. For brick-and-wood structures, 'clout nails' can be used to strengthen the connections between wooden roof trusses and purlins, and pads can be used to strengthen the connections between gable walls and purlins. Additionally, diagonal braces can be added between wooden columns for reinforcement. If the roof tilts, it needs to be straightened. For decayed or split wooden roof trusses, additional auxiliary beams and columns should be added to improve overall stability.
Thermal Insulation Treatment
1. Air Circulation Thermal Insulation Method: Construct an approximately 30-centimeter架空隔热空心夹层 (suspended thermal insulation hollow layer) on the roof, utilizing the flow of air to isolate heat transfer and reduce indoor temperature.
2. Water Thermal Insulation Method: Create shallow water puddles about 15 centimeters deep on the roof or add a 'small wall' around the top floor for water storage. The deeper the water layer, the better the thermal insulation effect, but the load-bearing capacity and waterproofing performance of the roof must be considered to avoid structural damage caused by water accumulation.
3. Laying Prefabricated Concrete or Ceramic Tiles: Laying these materials on the roof can conduct heat and lower the roof temperature while providing some waterproofing functionality.
4. Ceramsite Concrete Thermal Insulation Method: Laying ceramsite concrete can effectively reduce indoor temperature, as well as provide moisture and water resistance, suitable for various climatic conditions.
Precautions: For thermal insulation treatment, select materials with good thermal insulation, waterproofing, and durability properties; ensure construction quality, with the thermal insulation layer laid flat and evenly, without hollow spaces or collapses; pay attention to the fire resistance of the materials; regularly maintain the thermal insulation layer; and ensure safety during construction.
Waterproofing Treatment
Since concrete itself does not have waterproofing properties, the roof requires waterproofing treatment or painting. For the plastering base treatment of prefabricated concrete ceilings, fine aggregate concrete should be used to fill the gaps between prefabricated panels, and wire brushes should be used to remove adhered sand and mortar, ensuring the base is flat and clean to provide a good foundation for subsequent waterproof layer construction. Waterproofing treatment should select appropriate waterproofing materials based on the roof material and usage environment, such as waterproofing membranes or coatings, and follow construction specifications strictly to ensure the waterproof layer is free of cracks or holes, achieving long-term waterproofing effects.
