Construction Process of Prefabricated House Beams

Admin September 18, 2026

The construction process of prefabricated house beams mainly includes four steps: prefabricated beam production, on-site installation preparation, prefabricated beam hoisting, and elevation re-measurement.

Prefabricated Beam Production: Typically, the beams are prefabricated in a factory and then transported to the construction site for installation and fixation. Some use intelligent assembly-line prefabricated beam yards, which include multiple functional areas. The specific process is as follows: First, bind the bottom plate and web reinforcement on the steel reinforcement jig, and then hoist the entire reinforcement cage to the concrete pouring area. Next, hoist the internal mold into the interior of the reinforcement cage and bind the top plate reinforcement. The concrete is transferred from the concrete mixing plant to the布料机 (concrete distributor) via torpedo tanks, and the concrete distributor is moved to pour the beam concrete. After the beam strength meets the requirements, the formwork is removed, and the beam is transferred by a mobile trolley to the steam curing room for steam curing. This process accelerates concrete hardening and improves strength. After steam curing, tensioning and grouting operations are carried out. By tensioning the prestressed reinforcement and grouting, the bearing capacity and durability of the beam are enhanced. Finally, the beam is lifted and stored, waiting to be transported to the construction site.

On-site Installation Preparation: Release a 10-millimeter control line for the length of the prefabricated beam placement on the prefabricated column to provide an accurate position reference for subsequent installation. Install the support frames for the prefabricated beams and composite floor slabs, with 20-millimeter-thick wooden pads under the supports to disperse pressure and protect the ground. Adjustable bases are used at the bottom and top to facilitate height adjustment of the frames. The frames are made of 48-millimeter-diameter steel pipes connected with couplings to ensure frame stability. The main beams use 48-millimeter-diameter steel pipes, and the secondary beams use 50*100-millimeter square timbers, forming a reliable support system to ensure safety during the installation of the prefabricated beams.

Prefabricated Beam Hoisting: Use a hoisting beam spreader for hoisting. Hang the hook on the hoisting points of the prefabricated beam, slowly lift the prefabricated beam to above the installation position, and then steadily place it on the support frame. After the prefabricated beam is placed steadily, unhook it to complete the hoisting operation.

Elevation Re-measurement: Re-measure the elevation of the prefabricated beam, with an allowable elevation error controlled within 5 millimeters to ensure the installation accuracy of the prefabricated beam. Install other prefabricated beams in sequence and re-measure their elevations to ensure the flatness and stability of the entire structural system and meet the design requirements.
