Customization Process of Prefabricated Finished Houses
The customization process of prefabricated finished houses typically includes five main steps: site selection and design, material preparation and production, modular packaging and transportation, ocean transportation and logistics, and on-site assembly and acceptance.

Site Selection and Design: This is the starting point of the customization process. First, an appropriate construction site must be selected, with a comprehensive assessment of factors such as the surrounding environment and geological conditions to ensure the safety and stability of the house construction. Subsequently, based on user requirements, a blueprint of the house is designed, modules are divided, and a detailed design plan and production schedule are formulated. For example, factors such as the number of occupants and functional needs are considered to determine the layout and area of the house, dividing it into different functional modules such as bedroom modules and living room modules.
Material Preparation and Production: The required materials, such as cement and steel bars, are prepared. In the factory, modular components are mass-produced according to the design plan, ensuring that all components meet quality standards and have accurate dimensions. For Chinese prefabricated houses, all processes are completed in domestic factories, including steel structure main body welding, wall laying, pre-embedding of water and electricity pipelines, door and window installation, and full-house interior decoration. When leaving the factory, each module is a complete room with decoration, water and electricity, and supporting facilities.
Modular Packaging and Transportation: Finished modules are uniformly coded and classified for acceptance, with waterproof, anti-corrosion, and shockproof protection provided to adapt to the ocean shipping environment. They are then transported to domestic ports by special flatbed trucks, with dimensions perfectly matching international standard shipping containers, minimizing space waste and keeping transportation costs extremely low.
Ocean Transportation and Logistics: The packaged house modules are shipped on ocean-going cargo vessels to more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. The transportation time varies by region, with Southeast Asia reachable in one week, the Middle East in more than 20 days, and Europe and the Americas in about one month, with full logistics traceability throughout the journey.
On-site Assembly and Acceptance: After arriving at overseas ports, the modules are directly transported to the construction site. Through crane lifting and interface connection, they are assembled like LEGO blocks, with alignment, locking, and water and electricity connection completed efficiently. For example, 63 sets of Chinese prefabricated elderly care apartments purchased by the UK were fully assembled in just 14 days. Inspections and acceptances are conducted at each stage, and only after passing can the next process proceed.
