Prefabricated Factory Building Roof Panel

Admin September 19, 2026

Common types of prefabricated factory building roof panels include metal roof panels, prefabricated ALC partition panels, and saddle-shaped panels, each with distinct characteristics and suitable for different scenarios.

Metal roof panels, primarily made of aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy and galvanized color-coated steel sheets, offer core advantages such as lightweight, high strength, and easy installation. Their history can be traced back to the Roman Empire, and the technology gradually matured in the mid-20th century with the mass production of galvanized steel sheets and profiled steel sheets. Metal roof panels are prefabricated in factories and can be efficiently assembled on-site. They are highly corrosion-resistant and can adapt to complex climatic conditions. Additionally, their surfaces can be coated for both aesthetic appeal and functionality, making them widely used in industrial plants, warehousing, logistics, and other scenarios where rapid construction is required.

Prefabricated ALC partition panels (autoclaved aerated concrete wall panels) are multi-functional integrated panels produced using factory prefabrication techniques to create large-scale components with reinforced internal structures. Their core characteristics include lightweight (with a density only one-fifth that of ordinary concrete), thermal insulation, fire resistance (with a fire endurance limit exceeding three hours), and sound insulation (reducing noise by over 45 decibels). These panels can be used for interior partitions, exterior walls, roof panels, and floor slabs, compatible with various building types such as residential buildings, apartments, shopping malls, and factories. They are particularly suitable for projects with high demands for energy efficiency and space utilization.

Saddle-shaped panels are prestressed concrete saddle-shaped shell panels formed using bidirectional spatial prestressing technology, featuring a wavy saddle shape. Their structural characteristic is a hollow thin-walled design that combines the panel and frame, offering self-waterproofing, earthquake resistance (with a seismic fortification intensity of up to 8 degrees), and fire resistance. These panels are suitable for large-span building roofs, such as railway stations, warehouses, and theaters. In industrial plants, they are often used to cover large areas, reducing the number of structural columns and improving space utilization. Their self-waterproofing performance eliminates the need for traditional roof waterproofing layers, reducing overall costs.

The selection of these three types of panels should be based on project requirements: metal roof panels emphasize rapid construction and durability; prefabricated ALC partition panels focus on multi-functional integration and energy efficiency; saddle-shaped panels are suitable for large-span, high-load scenarios. Design considerations should include cost, construction period, functionality, and environmental adaptability.
