Photos of Prefabricated Container Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

Currently, we cannot directly provide photos of prefabricated container houses, but we can offer a detailed introduction to their appearance features and structural characteristics to help you understand their design form.

Prefabricated container houses are temporary or permanent buildings formed by industrial prefabrication and rapid on-site assembly using standard containers as basic modules. Their appearance typically retains the original morphological features of containers, such as cuboid structures, corrugated metal sheet exteriors, and standardized dimensions (common specifications are 20 feet or 40 feet, with lengths, widths, and heights of 6058mm×2438mm×2591mm or 12192mm×2438mm×2591mm, respectively). However, after modification, their appearance can exhibit diverse designs: 1. Basic forms: Single-container structures are directly used as independent rooms, retaining the complete appearance of the container with only doors and windows added at the end doors. When multiple containers are combined, they form two-story or higher buildings through horizontal or vertical stacking, with the containers connected and fixed by welding or bolts to create a more integrated structure. 2. Appearance modifications: To enhance aesthetics and practicality, the container surfaces often undergo secondary treatments, such as spraying with eco-friendly coatings (common colors are white, gray, or industrial-style metallic shades), adding insulation layers and covering them with decorative panels (such as wood-grain panels or aluminum-plastic panels), and installing large glass curtain walls or floor-to-ceiling windows to increase natural light. 3. Functional expansions: Solar panels and rainwater collection systems can be installed on the roof; awnings, terraces, or stairs can be extended from the sides; and the bottom can be elevated using concrete foundations or steel structural supports to prevent moisture and enhance stability.

Their structural characteristics and advantages:
The core advantage of prefabricated container houses lies in their "industrial production + rapid assembly". The container bodies undergo structural reinforcement, plumbing and electrical pre-installation, and interior decoration in the factory, requiring only lifting equipment for on-site assembly, which can shorten the construction period to 1/3 to 1/5 of that of traditional buildings. Their modular design provides high flexibility, allowing for the addition or reduction of container quantities and adjustments to spatial layouts according to needs, making them suitable for various scenarios such as temporary offices, post-disaster reconstruction, tourist accommodations, and commercial exhibition halls. Additionally, the steel structural frames of containers endow them with strong earthquake and wind resistance, and when combined with thermal insulation materials, they can meet usage requirements under different climatic conditions.
