Prefabricated Concrete House Roof

Admin September 18, 2026

The prefabricated concrete house roof is an important part of the prefabricated concrete house, and its construction relies on the production and installation process of prefabricated concrete components.

Construction Basis of Prefabricated Concrete Houses

The main body of a prefabricated concrete house is composed of various concrete components pre-cast in a factory. In the factory, workers first assemble metal steel plates into molds required for casting prefabricated concrete components using bolt connectors. After spraying a mold release agent on the mold surface, they cross-place steel bars in the mold and bind them into a mesh framework with steel wires to enhance the tensile strength of the concrete. Once the two layers of steel bar meshes are tied, several connectors are placed symmetrically inside the meshes. These connectors serve as connection points between the concrete components and cranes for subsequent lifting. Then, concrete is filled into the mold, and a vibrator is used during casting to remove air bubbles and improve the quality and durability of the components. After the surface is smoothed upon completion of casting, a plastic greenhouse is used to cover it, and a heating device is installed to promote the cement hydration reaction, enabling the components to reach the designed strength more quickly.

Roof-Related Prefabricated Components and Installation

Although there is limited detailed and independent process description directly targeting the prefabricated concrete house roof, it can be inferred by combining the production logic of prefabricated components. The roof part may also adopt component forms such as prefabricated hollow slabs or flat slabs. After the installation of the main body components of the house is completed, a crane is used to lift the prefabricated roof components to the designated positions at the top of the house through the pre-set connectors for installation and connection, just like building with building blocks, precisely docking each component to form the roof framework structure of the house.

Subsequent Roof Treatment Processes

For common reinforced concrete tile roofs, after the installation of prefabricated reinforced concrete hollow slabs or cast-in-place flat slabs, there are two common tile-laying processes. One is to lay roofing felt on the leveling layer, then fix the felt-pressing strips and tile-hanging strips with wooden wedges, and finally lay the tiles on the tile-hanging strips; the other is to directly brush waterproof cement mortar on the roof slab and then paste the tiles on the roof slab. This process is common in the construction of antique buildings. These subsequent treatment processes can further enhance the waterproof performance and aesthetics of the roof, meeting different architectural needs and usage scenarios.
