Dimensions of Prefabricated Concrete Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

The dimensions of prefabricated concrete houses vary depending on the type and design requirements, with common size ranges as follows:

Single-Story Prefabricated Concrete Houses

The size design of single-story houses is relatively flexible, with common standard dimensions including 6m×3m, 8m×3m, 10m×3m, 12m×3m, etc., suitable for small temporary buildings, warehouses, or shops. Their lengths can range from a few meters to tens of meters, with widths typically between 3-6 meters and heights generally between 2.5-5 meters. For example, a 3-meter×6-meter size is often used for temporary offices or residences; a 4-meter×8-meter size is suitable for rural self-built houses or small shops; and a 5-meter×10-meter size can serve as a family home or community activity center.

Multi-Story Prefabricated Concrete Houses

Multi-story houses are mainly double-story and triple-story, with common dimensions such as 7.2m×3.3m×3.0m and 8.1m×3.3m×3.0m (length×width×total height). Double-story houses are composed of two single stories stacked together, with a total height typically between 4-6 meters and each floor height between 2.5-3 meters; triple-story houses often adopt a duplex structure, with a total height between 6-9 meters and each floor height also between 2.5-3 meters. Their lengths are comparable to those of single-story houses, but structural stability must be considered, so the span design is more stringent.

Dimensions of Prefabricated Concrete Panels

Prefabricated concrete panels are an important part of the house structure, and their dimensions must meet load-bearing requirements:

  • Span: The longest panel for residential use is 4.2 meters, and customization is required for longer spans;
  • Width: Mainly 500mm and 600mm, with specifications such as four-hole 400mm and five-hole 500mm also available;
  • Thickness: Commonly 120mm or 150mm, determined based on load calculations.

Dimensions of Components in Prefabricated Concrete Houses

Component dimensions directly affect the durability and safety of the house:

  • Wall thickness: The wall thickness must be ≥150mm to meet insulation and structural requirements;
  • Eave length: Typically between 0-1200mm, designed according to drainage and shading needs.

Custom Dimensions

Custom houses offer greater flexibility, with widths mostly ranging from 3-4 meters, increasing in increments of 10 centimeters (e.g., 3.1 meters, 3.2 meters), with some requirements extending to 7.2 meters or 7.6 meters; lengths can be adjusted according to site conditions, such as 6.6 meters (outer diameter); heights and numbers of stories can also be customized, supporting single-story or double-story structures. Customization requires prior communication with the manufacturer to ensure structural safety and construction feasibility.
