Completion of Prefabricated Concrete House

Admin September 18, 2026

The prefabricated concrete house is completed quickly, utilizing a 'factory prefabrication + on-site assembly' model, which offers advantages such as safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, but also has the drawback of relatively fixed styles.

Construction Model and Efficiency: The prefabricated concrete house adopts a 'factory prefabrication + on-site assembly' model, where components such as walls and floor slabs are prefabricated in the factory and then transported to the site for assembly, with joints secured by bolts and treated with waterproof sealant. This model enables extremely high construction efficiency. For example, a case in rural Kaifeng, Henan, saw the completion of a villa in just 4 hours, with the construction period shortened from several months in traditional methods to 3 days (including water and electricity connections), a 90% reduction in construction waste, and a 35% decrease in carbon emissions.

Structural Safety and Performance: The house features a reinforced concrete structure as its main body, with a full-frame shear wall design, achieving a compressive strength of 30MPa, 1.5 times that of traditional brick-concrete structures. Modules are connected by prestressed bolts and welded steel plates, with a wind resistance rating of 12 and a seismic fortification intensity of 7-9 degrees (adjusted according to the number of floors), and a 70-year warranty is provided. For instance, during the 6.2-magnitude earthquake in Zhaotong, Yunnan, in 2023, the main structure of a prefabricated concrete house B&B remained intact, with only a 0.1mm fine crack appearing on the wall, fully demonstrating its structural safety.

Economy and Cost: The cost per square meter of a prefabricated concrete house is approximately 300 yuan, with the main structure cost of a 100-square-meter house being only 88,000 yuan, saving 26.7% compared to traditional brick-concrete structures. In a rural case in Henan, the total cost of a villa was about 150,000 yuan, which still saved half the cost compared to traditional self-built houses after including foundation treatment and simple decoration, showing its significant economic advantages.

Drawbacks and Limitations: Despite its many advantages, the modular design of the prefabricated concrete house results in relatively fixed styles, requiring additional investment for personalized modifications, which to some extent limits its application scope. However, its core advantages of 'safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness' still make it a popular choice in fields such as rural self-built houses and emergency buildings.
