Prefabricated Concrete House

Admin September 17, 2026

A prefabricated concrete house is a type of building that uses industrialized prefabricated components for rapid assembly, featuring efficient construction, controllable quality, relatively low cost, and stability.

Efficient Construction

The rapid construction capability of prefabricated concrete houses stems from the transfer of many on-site construction processes to standardized factories. The design adheres to principles of standardization and modularization, breaking down the house into several standard functional modules for easy mass production in the factory and precise on-site alignment. In the factory workshop, steel bars are automatically processed and tied into shape before being placed into custom molds. The mixing, pouring, and vibration of concrete are all completed using mechanized equipment. After pouring, the components are cured in a constant-temperature and humidity-controlled curing kiln, where processes such as pre-embedding window and door frames, reserving conduit slots, and treating the facing layer can also be carried out simultaneously, achieving 'integrated forming' and significantly reducing on-site work. During on-site assembly, the construction team uses lifting equipment to install the components in sequence. The components are reliably connected through pre-embedded steel plates, bolts, or specialized high-strength connectors, and nodes are reinforced by pouring special mortar or concrete. Water and electricity conduits are quickly laid in the reserved channels. The entire process is dominated by mechanical lifting and dry construction methods, less affected by adverse weather conditions, and construction speed is extremely fast. For a single house of tens of square meters, the installation of the main structure can often be completed within a few days, and the cycle from commencement to basic usability is more than half shorter than that of traditional brick-and-mortar buildings.

Controllable Quality

Factory production enables more precise control over the quality of concrete components. Standardized molds ensure dimensional accuracy, stable curing conditions ensure that concrete strength meets standards, and automated production reduces human error. The key structural connection technologies for on-site assembly are mature and reliable, having undergone rigorous calculations and tests to meet corresponding building safety standards. In some aspects, their structural integrity and seismic performance even surpass those of some traditional on-site masonry buildings.

Cost and Stability

Prefabricated concrete houses are relatively low in cost, quick to construct, and very stable. There are cases where a villa can be assembled in just 4 hours, costing around 300 yuan per square meter, with a 70-year warranty.
