Prefabricated Components for Building Walls

Admin September 18, 2026

Prefabricated components for building walls are pre-made in factories or specific sites and are used for assembling building walls. Common types include prefabricated concrete wall panels, prefabricated thermal insulation wall panels, prefabricated ALC wall panels, and prefabricated interior wall panels.

Prefabricated Concrete Wall Panels: These are reinforced concrete panel components processed and manufactured in prefabrication plants or construction sites for building assembly. The main types include PC wall panels, such as single-sided composite, double-sided composite, and fully prefabricated types, as well as industrialized finished wall panels. For single-sided composite wall panels, one side is a prefabricated concrete layer, and the other side is cast on-site; double-sided composite wall panels have both sides prefabricated with the middle cast on-site; fully prefabricated types are entirely manufactured in the factory. Industrialized finished wall panels undergo standardized production, ensuring stable quality, improving construction efficiency, and reducing on-site workload.

Prefabricated Thermal Insulation Wall Panels: These are pre-made 'sandwich walls' in factories. They have an insulation layer in the middle, with the load-bearing structural layer on the inside. The middle is filled with insulation materials such as rock wool or polystyrene boards, and the outside has a decorative finish, formed in one piece without the need for further decoration. These wall panels have many advantages. In terms of thermal insulation, they can effectively reduce indoor heat loss, lower heating energy consumption, and save electricity. They also have a fast construction speed, greatly shortening the building construction period, and a high aesthetic appeal, meeting the needs of different architectural styles.

Prefabricated ALC Wall Panels: These are widely used in residential buildings, office buildings, and other structures. Their construction process involves several steps. First, lines are set out to determine the position and dimensions of the walls. Then, the working surface is cleaned to ensure the flatness and firmness of the wall panel installation. Next, mortar is applied to provide a bonding base for the wall panel installation. Finally, the flatness of the wall surface is checked to ensure that the installation quality meets the standards.

Prefabricated Interior Wall Panels: Taking autoclaved ceramsite panels as an example, the installation steps are relatively detailed. First, the positioning edge lines of the walls are set out to clarify the installation positions. Then, adhesive is applied to enhance the bonding strength between the wall panels and the base layer. Next, the wall panels are installed upright and accurately placed in the designated positions. After that, quality inspections are carried out to check whether the wall panels are installed vertically and flatly. Then, top clips are installed to fix the tops of the wall panels. Finally, other interior partition wall panels are continuously installed to complete the installation of the entire interior wall.
