Seismic Detection of Prefabricated Component Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Seismic detection of prefabricated component houses is an important means to ensure the safety of building structures under earthquake action, involving multiple aspects such as detection content, methods, tools, processes, and relevant regulations.

Detection Content

  • Structural Identification: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the main structure of the house, focusing on load-bearing components such as beams, columns, and walls. Check their dimensions, cross-sectional shapes, and connection methods to determine whether the structure meets seismic requirements.
  • Material Identification: Test the building materials used in the house, such as concrete, steel bars, and bricks, to evaluate their strength, toughness, ductility, and other properties, and understand their performance under earthquake action.
  • Construction Identification: Carefully inspect the construction details of the house, such as node connections and connections between walls and floors, to ensure reasonable construction and firm connections, thereby enhancing the overall seismic performance of the house.

Detection Methods

  • Non-destructive Testing: Methods such as foundation exploration and ultrasonic testing of walls can obtain structural information without damaging the structure, enabling preliminary assessment of the house.
  • Destructive Testing: Directly obtain internal structural information through methods such as hammering and flaw detection, suitable for detection scenarios with higher requirements for the seismic performance of the house.

Detection Tools and Data Processing

High-precision instruments and equipment, such as accelerometers and displacement meters, should be used in accordance with regulatory requirements for operation and calibration to ensure the accuracy of detection results. At the same time, professional software tools are employed to process and analyze the collected data, calculating key indicators such as the acceleration and displacement of the building structure to assess its seismic performance.

Detection Process and Follow-up Measures

Regular seismic detection should be carried out to promptly identify and repair potential problems. For identified safety hazards, timely measures should be taken for handling, such as reinforcing structural components, improving material performance, and optimizing connection construction.

Relevant Regulations and Standards

According to the 'Regulations on Seismic Fortification Management of Building Engineering Projects', newly built, expanded, and reconstructed building engineering projects should be seismically fortified in accordance with relevant national regulations and mandatory standards for engineering construction. For completed specific building engineering projects that have not taken seismic fortification measures and are not included in the near-term demolition and renovation plans, units with corresponding design qualifications should be commissioned to conduct seismic assessment in accordance with current seismic assessment standards.
