Prefabricated Cabin-style House

Admin September 18, 2026

A prefabricated cabin-style house is a modular structural building that is pre-manufactured in a factory, featuring integration, strong environmental adaptability, and wide application.

Integrated Design

The prefabricated cabin-style house adopts an integrated design concept, with core components such as transformers and switchgear for specific functions pre-installed in standardized cabin bodies. This design significantly simplifies on-site installation work, allowing for quick assembly to complete the overall construction and effectively shortening the construction cycle. For example, the prefabricated cabins supplied by the Hongren Activity House manufacturer in Kunming, Yunnan, are made, assembled, wired, and debugged in the factory. After being transported as a whole to the project site, they are directly placed on the installation foundation, reducing the workload of on-site secondary wiring as well as design, construction, and debugging.

Wide Range of Applications

It has a wide range of applications, mainly in power grid transmission and distribution, new energy, energy storage, and emergency support fields. With development, its application scope has expanded to multiple fields such as energy, communications, municipal services, temporary housing, temporary offices, and data centers. For instance, the first self-developed prefabricated cabin-style substation by Longmei Jigou Company was put into use, providing new solutions for related fields.

Structural Characteristics

The main structure adopts a section steel frame, and the enclosure structure has thermal insulation design. According to the main structural material, it is mainly divided into steel standard cabins and GRC fiberglass composite cabins; common sizes include Type I, Type II, Type III, etc.; according to the functions of the integrated equipment in the cabin, it can be divided into primary equipment prefabricated cabins and secondary equipment prefabricated cabins, etc.

Performance Advantages

In terms of environmental adaptability, it focuses on sealing and anti-condensation design, using methods such as temperature and humidity control for environmental regulation. With a protection rating of up to IP68, it can withstand extreme environments. For anti-corrosion and thermal insulation, a three-layer anti-corrosion coating system is mainly used for anti-corrosion, and the thermal insulation layer is filled with materials such as rock wool or polyurethane foam. In addition, it also has advantages such as convenient transportation, sturdiness and durability, good sealing performance, and easy disassembly and assembly, with a service life of more than 20 years.

Intelligent Development

It is usually equipped with an intelligent control system that can centrally monitor the environment and equipment inside the cabin. The industry is upgrading towards intelligence in the manufacturing process and developing towards higher integration and large capacity, deep digitization and intelligence, as well as green and low-carbon directions.
