Prefabricated Aluminum Formwork for Housing Construction

Admin September 18, 2026

The production of prefabricated aluminum formwork for housing construction mainly includes aluminum formwork production, trial assembly and acceptance, numbering, packaging, transportation, and on-site installation.

Aluminum Formwork Production

Aluminum formwork is primarily made of aluminum alloy profiles through mechanical processing and welding processes. In terms of design, it is designed according to a 50mm modulus. This design approach enhances the versatility and flexibility of the formwork, enabling it to adapt to concrete projects of different sizes and shapes.

Trial Assembly and Acceptance

After the production of aluminum formwork is completed, trial assembly is carried out in the factory. This step is crucial. The project technical department organizes professionals to conduct a comprehensive acceptance of the formwork. The acceptance items include the structural dimensions of the formwork to ensure they meet the design requirements and guarantee the accuracy of the component dimensions after concrete pouring; the造型线条 (decorative lines), ensuring the aesthetic appeal and smoothness of the building's exterior; the formwork reinforcement system, checking whether the reinforcement method is sturdy and reliable and can withstand the lateral pressure during concrete pouring; the height difference between adjacent panel joints, which needs to be controlled within a certain range to ensure the flatness of the concrete surface; and the gap between adjacent panel joints, which also requires strict control to prevent issues such as concrete leakage that can affect the quality of the concrete.

Numbering, Packaging, and Transportation

After passing the acceptance, the formwork is numbered according to the aluminum formwork assembly drawing. The purpose of numbering is to quickly and accurately locate the corresponding formwork during on-site installation, improving installation efficiency. After numbering, the formwork is packaged and transported to the construction site. During the packaging process, care should be taken to protect the formwork to avoid damage during transportation.

On-site Installation

Taking the wall formwork system as an example, its structure mainly includes main wall panels, transverse panels (wall head panels), inner wall panel corner aluminum, tie bars, steel back ribs, and guide wall panels (K-panels). During installation, starting from the internal corners (wall corners) according to the positioning rebars, the installation extends outward in the order of the formwork numbers. Install the formwork and tie bars on both sides of the wall, with the tie bar spacing not exceeding 600mm, ensuring they stand vertically at the control line positions. Install pins at the ends of the formwork joints first, with the pin spacing in the middle not exceeding 300mm. Install the back ribs from the bottom up, with the first back rib 200mm away from the floor. Set up diagonal braces on both sides of the column-wall formwork, with the spacing determined according to the wall length. When fixing the bases of the diagonal braces on both sides, the angle should be between 45 degrees and 10 degrees. Align the elevation of the wall-column formwork with the structural elevation line using a laser level for calibration. For the peripheral guide wall panels (K-panels), prevent the pins from falling off during concrete pouring. Before pouring, install M16 low-carbon bolts close to the bottom of the groove and anchor them in the concrete. After pouring, adjust the bolts to regulate the levelness of the guide wall panels, thereby controlling the verticality of the upper wall formwork.
