Prank with Moving Toilet

Admin October 12, 2026

The “prank with a moving toilet” usually achieves a prank effect by designing ingenious mechanisms or utilizing special situations to create the illusion that the toilet is “moving”. There are also absurd incidents where the toilet actually moves due to unexpected circumstances.

Active Prank Cases

In some prank plans, the trust people have in specific scenarios is exploited to create the illusion of a moving toilet. For example, in one prank case, a blind person is arranged to ask passers-by for help to use the toilet, and a couple is asked to take care of the guide dog. In the actual scene, after the blind person enters the left-hand mobile toilet, they quietly exit through the back door and enter the right-hand toilet. When the sanitation worker comes to collect the waste, due to incorrect information provided by the couple, the sanitation worker lifts the right-hand mobile toilet, which appears to be unoccupied (but is actually misled to be so due to the prank). This prank cleverly uses spatial transformation and people's惯性思维 (inertial thinking, here it means people's habitual way of thinking) to create the illusion that the toilet is “moving” for the pranked person, thus achieving the goal of being funny and pranking. There are also video contents like “A public toilet that moves by itself! Hilarious prank prank”, which, although not describing the specific operation method in detail, can be inferred from the title that special means are used to make the public toilet present the strange effect of “moving by itself”, triggering people's surprise and laughter.

Unexpected Movement Cases

In addition to actively designed pranks, there are also absurd incidents where the toilet moves due to unexpected circumstances. At 3 p.m. on May 11, 2025, a young woman named Xia from Hangzhou was in a mobile toilet originally parked in the parking lot of the West Lake scenic area, marked as “24-hour convenience”. Due to the toilet being mistakenly loaded onto a truck, it sped along the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Although this incident was not actively planned as a prank, the whole process was extremely absurd and bizarre. Xia experienced an unexpected “high-speed journey” in the toilet, which also sparked widespread discussion across the internet. Although this unexpected movement was not for the purpose of pranking, from an effect perspective, it also brought strong visual impact and generated a lot of buzz.
