Position Adjustment of Mobile Toilet Bowl
Admin September 27, 2026
The position of the mobile toilet bowl can be adjusted using a toilet offset flange. The specific methods and key construction points are as follows:

I. Types and Applicable Scenarios of Toilet Offset Flanges
A toilet offset flange is a core tool for changing the position of the drain outlet. Depending on the offset requirements, it can be divided into three types:
- Integrated Offset Flange: Suitable for short-distance offsets (usually ≤ 200mm). It achieves flexible adjustment by shortening the length of the pipe fittings and is ideal for optimizing small spaces.
- Oval Flat-Pipe Offset Flange: Supports longer-distance offsets (usually ≤ 500mm). Its flat-pipe design reduces the need for raising the floor level but requires chiseling into the floor for installation.
- In-Wall Offset Flange: The offset range is 190
550mm. It meets the needs of large-span adjustments through a concealed pipe layout and is suitable for scenarios with high aesthetic requirements.10 centimeters. In special cases, it can reach 15 centimeters, but exceeding this range may increase construction difficulty and risks.
Note: It is recommended to keep the conventional offset distance within 5
II. Key Construction Points for Offset Flange Installation
- Construction Timing: Installation must be completed before laying floor tiles to ensure that the pipes are fixed simultaneously with the floor structure.
- Slope Control: A drainage slope of 1%~3% should be reserved. For every 100mm increase in the offset distance, the pipes should be raised by approximately 5mm (e.g., raising by 15mm for a 300mm offset) to prevent sewage retention.
- Special Handling for Flat-Pipe Offset Flanges:
- Chiseling into the floor (with a depth of approximately 20~40mm) is required to embed the flat pipe into the groove and reduce height differences.
- The base layer should be leveled with cement mortar to ensure a smooth transition between the pipes and the floor.
- The flange should be tightly secured during installation to prevent lateral deviations caused by loose pipes.
III. Key Considerations
- Clogging Risk: After offsetting, the number of bends in the pipes increases, and changes in air pressure may cause sewage backflow. It is recommended to regularly unclog the pipes and avoid pouring large debris into them.
- Size Standards: The distance from the center of the toilet to the wall should comply with regulations—reserve 33cm or 43cm for unfinished walls before tiling and adjust to exactly 30cm or 40cm after tiling to ensure the toilet is installed securely.
- Material Selection: PVC offset flanges are preferred due to their strong corrosion resistance and smooth inner walls, which reduce the probability of clogging. Metal pipe fittings should be avoided to prevent rusting and drainage issues after long-term use.
Summary: The position of the mobile toilet bowl should be adjusted according to actual needs by selecting the appropriate type of offset flange. Strictly follow construction specifications to control the slope and dimensions, and pay attention to post-maintenance to ensure safe use.
