Portable Toilet with Flush Button

Admin October 08, 2026

The flush buttons on portable toilets mainly come in two types: single-button and dual-button. Some portable toilets also feature a snap-fit structure on their buttons for easy disassembly and maintenance.

Single-Button Flush Mechanism

The single-button design features only one key. Pressing it initiates a full-tank flushing process. The working principle is that all the water in the tank is discharged at once to clean the toilet bowl. When using it, simply press the button and hold it down until the tank completes flushing and the water flow stops completely before releasing. This design is suitable for scenarios requiring quick and thorough flushing, such as when handling solid waste or sanitary products, ensuring that waste is flushed away in one go. However, the drawback is that the water volume is fixed and cannot be adjusted according to actual needs, potentially leading to water wastage.

Dual-Button Water-Saving Design

The dual-button design includes two keys of different sizes, controlling water volume through different button presses:

  • Large Button: Corresponds to a full-volume flush, discharging all the water in the tank at once. It is suitable for scenarios with a large amount of waste, feces, or sanitary products, ensuring thorough flushing.
  • Small Button: Corresponds to a half-volume flush, releasing only half the water volume. It is suitable for cleaning a small amount of urine or light stains, saving approximately 50% of the water volume.

When using the dual-button design, regardless of which button is pressed, it is necessary to wait until the tank completes refilling and the flushing process ends before releasing. This design balances flushing effectiveness with water-saving needs through differentiated water volumes, making it particularly suitable for scenarios with limited water resources or high environmental protection requirements.

Snap-Fit Structure for Easy Maintenance

Some portable toilets feature a snap-fit structure on their flush buttons, allowing for quick disassembly of the button components by pressing the snap-fit. The primary purpose of this design is to facilitate cleaning or maintenance: for example, cleaning dirt from the button gaps, replacing damaged button components, or inspecting the internal structure of the tank without the need for tools, significantly enhancing usability and extending the lifespan of the equipment.
