Portable Toilet WC

Admin September 20, 2026

A portable toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It is suitable for various temporary or permanent locations and offers advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation.

Structural Components

A portable toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device, among other parts. These components work together to ensure the basic functions of the toilet are realized while meeting usage needs in different environments. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excreta, the sanitary ware provides convenience for using the toilet, and the mobile device enables the toilet to be easily transported and arranged.

Applicable Locations

Portable toilets have a wide range of applications, including stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, as well as densely populated public places and bustling commercial streets. These locations often face challenges in setting up traditional fixed toilets due to high foot traffic, high construction costs, or limited space. Portable toilets, on the other hand, can flexibly meet the toilet needs of these places.

Classification Methods

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. Single-structure portable toilets are usually relatively simple and suitable for temporary or small locations; composite-structure portable toilets are more complex and may contain multiple functional areas, suitable for large or long-term use locations.
  • By mobility method: They can be classified as lifting and handling portable toilets and powered and towed portable toilets. Lifting and handling portable toilets require external equipment for movement, while powered and towed portable toilets have autonomous mobility capabilities, making them more flexible and convenient.
  • By sewage treatment method: They can be divided into water-flush and non-water-flush suction portable toilets, circulating water-flush portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. These different types of portable toilets have their own characteristics in terms of sewage treatment methods and are suitable for different environments and needs.

Price Differences

The prices of different types and configurations of portable toilets vary greatly. For example, the price of a high-end portable toilet with a shower room, smart features for outdoor scenic spots, eco-friendly hand-washing facilities, and public mobile restrooms may be as low as 450 yuan (possibly for a specific component or a simple model), while the price of a portable toilet in Xianghe, Dachang, Beijing, and Langfang, which is an eco-friendly restroom for public use and outdoor mobile sanitation facilities, may reach as high as 12,500 yuan.
